What is Pipedrive?

Pipedrive describes itself as “the first CRM designed by salespeople, for salespeople”.

While it probably isn’t the first, the rest is true—it’s a CRM specifically designed to fit a sales team’s unique needs and processes. The software is designed to help teams better manage their sales pipelines, making it easier to track leads and opportunities, manage customers, and automate busywork—all in one place.

Getting Started with Pipedrive

Getting started with Pipedrive is a super easy process. Before diving into the tool’s actual features, there are only really three things you need to do:

  1. Set up your pipeline stages. Stages are fully customizable, so they can reflect the specific process you have in place.
  2. Add deals and contacts. You can add deals and contacts manually, import them via a CSV file, or import them from another tool.
  3. Invite your team and set access controls. You can invite users to the platform via bulk email invitations. You can also choose which team members will have access to certain data points.

Once you’ve completed these three steps, it’s time to start exploring the platform.

Sales Pipeline & Deals

Pipelines and deals are Pipedrive’s (and every other sales CRM’s) bread and butter. They’re visual representations of your sales process, including stages, deal flow, and the status of your current deals.

In Pipedrive, pipelines are completely customizable. You can easily add new stages to the pipeline and adjust the order of stages by dragging and dropping—just click “Edit Pipeline” in the upper right-hand corner.

You can also easily add new deals and view existing ones from the pipeline view. The option to review every deal’s details is especially useful and accessible simply by clicking on it in the pipeline. This includes:

  • Contacts
  • Labels
  • Notes

  • Communication history

You also have the option to define custom fields for your deals. These can either be marked optional or required—perfect for helping your sales team prioritize key pieces of information in their talks. The “Deals” tab is also where your team will write notes, schedule sales activities, and track availability.

Pipedrive’s communication tracking features are great.

For starters, the underlying organizational system is super intuitive—contacts are organized by dividing them into “people” and “organizations”. You can then link these to the deals they’re associated with and easily check your history of calls, emails, and activities with any of your contacts or deals.

Pipedrive’s email inbox is sales-focused and super intuitive, too. It has a ton of features that speed up the process of managing and sending emails, including:

There’s also Scheduler—a feature that helps you set up meetings without annoying back-and-forths by sharing your availability and letting invitees book time slots that work for them. You can also automatically set up video calls for scheduled time slots on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet.

Last, but (definitely) not least, Pipedrive integrates with a ton of great phone tools, so you can place calls from within the platform. This makes it easy to track your activity, record data, and even automate certain call-related processes—but more on automation in a moment.

One of Pipedrive’s main selling points is its automation features. There are quite a few to unpack here, but there are two main types:

  • Sales automations
  • Workflow automations

Sales automations are features designed to help you optimize your business’ sales process. Take Sales Assistant, for example—this automation tool creates custom behavior-based cards with performance tips, notifications, and progress updates for each team member on your roster. It also notifies everyone affected by changes to settings and deals, so no one’s left wondering where their recent deals went.

What’s the Verdict?

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

It has an interface between the client and the company that makes it easier and more intuitive to understand the experiences that are obtained with customers and its platform is very easy to use, which allows to better organize with all the information obtained from each client. With pipedrive I can efficiently organize potential clients to have an overview of sales and, therefore, focus on sales that are safe to continue promoting actions that make sales move successfully.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

Currently I see some limitations in the search of titles in front of the body of the notes of the meeting, for example. As we generate more content, meeting notes, attachments, it will be necessary to improve the search, I would like to see a more advanced search engine

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has an organization of all the most ordered data and easier to visualize to be more active with the potential clients and to have clear the activities that I have to do daily and thus organize my work.

This is the best Sales CRM which help in sales management online. This software is best for small sales team who has number of process to do. What do you like best about Pipedrive?

Its marketing automation integration management system is superior in quality to others we have used. Its support is stable and has a large deployment in many teams. Pipedrive offers excellent packages for a very low cost. It should be noted that the agreement of terms at the moment of purchasing the service is quite flexible with the client.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

It does not have a solid function for social network integration. You can not make quotes and offers on this platform. If we talk about messaging, live chat is not available, which is essential for a CRM. The generation of proposals is conspicuous by its absence. It does not allow management of presentations or content management.

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps us to maintain a better relationship with our customers, thus increasing the sales flow. It is useful for small and large companies. "The best ally of your business"
What do you like best about Pipedrive?

With Pipedrive I can better examine the entire sales system in order to control it very easily. This system allows me to have a wide organization in all the sales of my business, it also allows me to edit the reports with the data obtained in a much more coordinated way in order to have a better vision of everything that happens in the company. This system brings a powerful bank of templates that allows me to use and personalize emails in order to have a professional and corporate design. It also allows me to enter several administrators in order to decentralize the composition of the work teams.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

Something I did not like is that it does not allow filtering the information in a simple way, this situation was reported to the technical support team and they promised me that in a short time that problem would be solved.

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

One of the benefits that this great tool has given us is that it allows us to carry out in stages a control of the different processes that the sales team performs, with this we can make complete reports of all the income and expenses that occur daily and with it go looking for new alternatives to improve all the processes of the company, we can also carry out selective monitoring of each client in a detailed way.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

What Pipedrive did correctly is creating an easy to use system that has it almost all. From CRM, to working deals on company level and the automation possibilities.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

There are a couple of improvements to make. There is no possibility to those if you want an action to be sended through to your linkedin calendar or not (messing-up your agenda with not important actions). They can also improve on connecting with different tools, like more variate sales intelligence tools.

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Pipderive for all different ends. But the most important one is ofcourse our sales prognose. You can see the different pipelines (from the different products we market), but can also see the whole company liquidity. Besides the sales part, we use pipedrive to log all communication with prospects and clients, but also for the onboarding of certain products. The possibility to use custom fields let us work more efficient.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

Pipedrive does not even require any guides or tutorials for tech-savvy salespeople. It is very intuitive, and does the job as expected.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

Pricing for small and big companies are the same. There should be more incentives for startups, SMEs for up to 5 users for example.

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a startup, we streamlined our pipeline with Pipedrive, before that we were sticking to spreadsheets which is quite chaotic.

PipeDrive is used to plan your activities easily beforehand. The progress stages of a process are implemented. You can also view it provides complete details of actionable items.

PipeDrive does not allow you to export your data. It does not provide real time analysis for your data either. It also does not have any efficient search feature.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

A positive part is that Pipedrive serves to obtain all the details of the clients, their information and the contacts that you have made with them to improve the transactions you make with them and also the sale of the products. When you put new contacts in the system if there is one repeated, it is not duplicated, only those who were not before get into the system, which facilitates the work of increasing your list of contacts. The sales report of a large amount of information that can be used to see which periods of time are the most profitable to sell products, which elements have worked better, which changes have been more efficient ... In short to value deep the sales area of your company.

It would improve the mobile application so that it had more functions and that it would be easier to work with it. It is somewhat complex to use the application and understand its operation.

Increase the benefit obtained with our products. You can email direct internally, which is a huge time saver - easily forcast your pipeline and see trends of you last pipeline which makes building a strategy a lot easier.

No cons thus far - it’s like most most of the other premium CRMs I’ve used for sales.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

The emails that you send through this software are displayed directly in gmail, which simplifies the sending and receiving of emails. You can also link to the gmail calendar, which helps you to be informed about the dates displayed on that platform. Apart from Gmail, it also supports a multitude of other applications, which increases the ease of accessing and combining information through these integrations. It should also be noted that this CRM has a great organization, design and is a very intuitive platform, which allows navigating and knowing the aspects of the program in a short time. It also has a large layer of customization that allows you to adapt its use to your needs.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

Although Pipedrive has a great capacity for personalization and also has a variety of filters to divide and better understand the information, achieving this division of information is very complex, since you must change the predefined filter settings and when you enter too many filters it makes it difficult to understand the information well.

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

Improving our sales section and achieving better results is something we have achieved with Pipedrive. In the aspect of analysis of the sales section, we have been able to obtain through this software two basic aspects of analysis in the sales section: - On the one hand the analysis of the won offers where you can see the averages, the time used in each offer, the products won. - On the other hand an analysis of the lost offers where it shows you also the time invested, as you have proposed each stage. In short, the analysis shows you the successes and benefits so that we can improve our performance in the future. The review of the clients, of the temporary monitoring and of the products has also allowed us to increase our market. It is easier to communicate with customers and manage any modification or update of the products.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

The program is extremely easy to use from start to finish, which my team and I have been utilizing the past 4-years. You can track calls, photos, updates emails, insurance, tasks, and appointments from the start of the loan all the way to closing,. All of those functions may be viewed from your mobile device, P.C. or MacBook. With a swipe of a finger you can also advance your loan from one stage to the next.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

This is not a dislike just a request that they improve the reporting for monthly sales and board reporting, which I know they are working on.

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are able to keep track of how long each deal is in each phase of the loan request to keep better track of follow-through and closings.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

With the pipedrive reports I can consult the activities of the sales businesses that were close to a sale or those that were successful with the conversion rates The businesses I classify them in stages and it allows me to have a more ordered control of each client and the sale made the prices of the plans are quite cheap and more if you pay the year you get a very good discount that saves money To be able to handle PipeDrive I do not need much time to learn, since the platform is very easy to handle and it is not necessary to have a complex knowledge of how to use it. What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

The platform is good the only thing I see bad is customer support support that is a little delayed in responding to requests that are sent, although it is occasionally not all the times the rest of the platform provides a great service

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sales are more productive, they have improved and it has been more orderly to keep track of customers for the improvement of the company. You can make the daily sales statistics are made successfully to know the evolution of each sale

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

We talk about them throughout the sales process and I really enjoy how Pipedrive conceptualizes them. Creating a person, an organization and a deal is extremely easy. It is also set up to keep you informed of phone calls.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

Pipedrive is a very good CRM pre-sale but not perfect to manage the lifetime of a customer.

What problems is Pipedrive solving and how is that benefiting you?

My team use pipedrive to mange leads and shut the IT connected comes. It helps America managing leads and also the deals for them if they become qualifies at any stage.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

is a tool that benefits the projection and registration of sales that are made to generate reports, I can add or delete the products that are or are not available at the moment and it is easy to manage in this way I can have an exact control of sales , what is the most sold and what less is sold in the market

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

the app to download to the cell phone I think it should be compatible with any high-end cell phone, there was a time where I damaged my cell phone and had another but I could not download it because it said it was not compatible and it was not a cell phone low range was a high-end and even so I do not let download I was without the app a while while I fix my cell phone

I am very grateful with this tool Pipedrive helps me to order and smooth sales and also with customers to have a way to contact me more closely

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

I had a nightmare of a sort. The prior year I had taken 13 years worth of Linkedin contacts and put them into Hubspot. I started to organize them there but found the UI clunky and not intuitive. I used it as a bcc catcher for email activity. This year I am getting more serious about biz dev in different channels and needed a solution that could get me organized, and integrate into Mixmax (my preferred email tool). I tried Zoho and didn't like it and didn't even start with Salesforce's entry-level because of the cost to get it to the point where it would integration with Mixmax. I kept looking at Pipedrive and like the UI of it's exterior. Checked out a video and decided to give it a try. Hours later I was getting my contacts organized (after an awesome import process facilitated by Import2.com that Pipedrive provided), i had developed a quick and efficient process of updating the contacts while I entered them into sequences and had customized fields to break this down into both a sales funnel and a recruiting funnel. Needless to say, I was impressed. I upgraded and bought a year of Gold when I hit the limit for the smart data that Pipedrive provides you for each contact queued off email. I can't wait until I upgrade Mixmax to Enterprise and can experience the full integration there. You can build sequences to run off of events in Pipedrive which can be triggered by other things like Contact forms. The automation that a non-engineer can build into a website now is amazing, and I encourage anyone reading this to learn about and experiment with different integrations.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

If I had to get picky perhaps being able to specify on the Pipeline projection on the deal stage what number to project. I don't want to see the amount from leads, but from contact made. Perhaps you can do this, I may need to dig into docs a bit more.

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

Helps sales management actively for a customer organization, is based on making sales easier with better order in the system invite friends to meet on the same page is the coolest thing you have because we work as a team and we can all work at the same time taking the order of the sale

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

After the last update that made the app on my cell phone no longer the data of each contact thing that affects a lot because I can not work as I worked before on the cell phone I do most of it on the computer because there is everything shown as it should be

Sales improved and the most happy customers are with us, they tell us or they write to us that they like the organization that we carry for everything in sales and that they like it, the company has grown more and each time they know us more in the market of the internet as a serious, committed and secure company

What do you like best about Pipedrive?

There are many good things in pipedrive as being able to manage the administration of the incomes that are being received each month to have a clear vision of the results in the sales and to know how much was sold and if the month was good or bad according to the statistics that It gives me pipedrive. Being able to divide by categories is very good, it also helps to know which product sells more.

What do you dislike about Pipedrive?

The support is delayed in answering my doubts, when I started using pipedrive I had many doubts as the normal people of how things were handled tried to contact me through tickets and they responded to me the two days that already for me that is delayed because if I wrote to them it was because I needed to solve my problem immediately and not two days or the next day they answered me how I could solve my doubt. this is the only bad thing I have to say about the rest, it seems good to me.

It has brought me the benefit of having everything more specific and knowing all the sales well without making much effort since the platform is not difficult to manage and I can have a detailed report of sales
