Slack is the top choice for teams to communicate. It provides a virtual workspace that helps teams maintain open communication in a business environment. With Slack, users can host voice and video calls with up to 15 participants and even screen share with a desktop app, empowering better user interaction. Slack also supports options for private and group sessions, and one of its best features is Slack Huddles–an informal meeting space that lets you directly talk to your channel where you can share screen side by side with your team. The platform integrates well with Dropbox, Google Drive, and Trello as well.

Slack not only allows communication withing the organization, but outside as well
User experience takes a little time in getting used to
Quick action of cases, due to easy categorization of threads
Easy to collaborate with teammates in a remote environment and lots of plug-ins with other tools we use.
Not much besides the fact there is a lag between the phone app and my laptop.
Slack is our main form of communication across the business. We use it to solve problems every day. We use polls to pulse check the team, send out valuable information and also use it for team building.
Easy to use. Integrate with all other applications we use.
I've got nothing to say here. Yep, I don't.
Communication across different teams.
You can send a text and edit or delete it after it's been delivered
Nothing at all. I LOVE this product. It works perfectly
We can communicate remotely as we would if we were in an office. It's quick and easy. We can have huddles and calls. It's a one stop shop
Security Easy to use Collaboration possibilities
Very high cpu resource consumption Slow load
Project discussion Automated notifications
We recently implemented Slack integration Salesforce for one of our e-commerce clients, which will bring us great success by increasing customer engagement with the product. I Like the most in Slack: for Notifications in bold on the name of the channel share the screen link google agendas availabilities option for each user option of the private channel Search function
Often Slack calls don't work. Either it is impossible to call someone or the sound does not work.
To improves the customer interaction with the products.
Slack is a very user-friendly platform I am using this since the beginning of my career after using multiple platforms I feel slack is really very convenient and user-friendly as we can easily mark our status and get notifications when tagged in a group.
There are not many things I dislike about it as it's most convenient to other platforms I used but one feature I want slack to add is to increase the length/ the limit of maximum allowed characters. User interaction should be improved as well, also profile name should be editable, should not ask if we want to change our status to active every time we visit other than these there are the most feature I like when comparing with other chat platforms that make slack the most convenient platform for user who regularly use it for work purpose.
There are really many things I benefit from slack like adding documents directly, notifying people in the group and I can also use my self chat for storing some important notes/ documents and others for easy access and also it helps us to update our status accordingly which is really very beneficial when we are away and also helps in sharing screen and scribbling on screen needed.
I can able to chat with anyone with my company. Mostly I can chat with IT support team and can share my screen by huddle or by calling. And also the information is secured like no outer organization person can see those things.
It's perfecly fine. I just can delete the whole chat and another person messages in the chat. Like, I should be able to delete the conversation and can start the conversation from the start.
By using slack I can directly share my points or can ask my doubts with my team leader or manager by just pinging them in slack. Also I can able to call and share my screen also. One more option of adding Apps so that any notification can directly comes to me. For example I can add outlook calender so I don't miss any of m scrum meetings.
I just like how it is private yet makes communication so open.
nothing about slack is worth a dislike!Z
#1 proper channeling and communication.
I like how slack is integrated with all my other tools like: SFDC, Gainsight, Surveys, Google Calendar etc. There's so much I can achieve with Slack outside of communicating with my peers, I can work on group assignments easily, create tickets and make requests. Alongside that I also make calls, start huddles and Zoom sessions from 1 tool.
I'm not sure there's anything I dislike? Apart from hell when there's an outage and I cannot use slack. I'm dependent on the tool and I even use it on my phone.
collaboration, project management, escalation, working across territories, working with partners in one single interface. We're all over the place so it's handy to have 1 tool that's integrated and helps us work better and faster.
I like how slack integrates with many other apps it allows for that umbrella approach to communicating with teams without constant meetings or emails. It is quick easy and users are very upset if they lose access which is usually a huge sign of its value.
Not much I don't like about slack, maybe it would be nice if it were better integrated with Microsoft office, especially email but that is just a personal opinion, there might just be a way I have not figured out yet. Otherwise, I do not have any complaints about the software, it does what it is designed to do~
Communication is the biggest in my eyes. When you work for a company that is completely remote there has to be an open channel of communication and I feel Slack fills that gap and more.
We've started using Slack at work to monitor the apps (like: Discord) we link to with Slack. Group chats are also possible using Slack. Significant discussions can be pinned in Slack.
Although cost is a concern, a great deal of value is offered in exchange. If you're migrating to a new workspace, you won't be able to migrate your chat history from one workplace to another.
Slack has evolved into an immensely helpful a-synch business communication tool because of its automatic transcription of videos and audio messages. It scares me how much I prefer it to email.
It is very helpful in communicating & keeping things professional. I don't want to engage on WhatsApp with colleagues.
Its color is very dark, not something I am fond of.
Communicating over WhatsApp with colleagues is wrong & slack removed that bridge. It helps in keeping personal life separate from professional life.
I like the instant messaging feature and the fact that in syncs on multiple devices and the integrations with other apps like Google Drive and others.
That you have to install apps to integrate. It should be automatically synced.
Team communication within a fully remote company. I save time and money as an employee by working from home. I and the team are more productive using Slack.
It is extremely easy to collaborate on, sharing files/links. Very user-friendly and intuitive.
Sometimes it won't give me a notification on my computer but I receive one on my phone. This doesn't happen very often but I have noticed it a couple of times.
Easily communicating with team members and the ability to quickly share files / links and hop on slack calls. This has allowed for increased efficiency in my day to day work.
Creating groups is easy. Able to reach out to anybody quickly. Able to mark someone/ a group/channel is easy.
Unable to call or meet someone in the app.
Daily to daily communication with colleague.
It is a tool where everyone knows whats happening and whats being discussed.
Its difficult to search a message on slack.
Team communication and conversation can be instantly done and every required stakeholder can view the conversation.
the interface, the class, the integrations with other apps
The fact you don't accept a short answer in this question
communication
Communication and the ability to hook up integrations
nothing to complain about here. the downtime of their servers from time to time is frustrating but its not frequent
Remote work communication is perfect with Slack by our side
The bots for calendaring events and reminding you when they are upcoming. There is also a place to see all calendared events so you can see what you have on the agenda at any given time. You can also customize notifications.
There is a bit of a learning curve when you first get started, there are a lot of features, and if you are just using it to chat between co-workers then it's not being used effectively and it seems like too much of a system.
We are able to coordinate between many departments all in one place, plan events, meetings, and meet within the app. We can have bots make our job a little bit easier and schedule for us.
