"ON24 - seriously not bad!"
What do you like best about ON24?

I most enjoy their live chat that is available. There have been times where on a line webinar I've had to contact them for possible audio issues, and they jump on and handle the issue immediately. I use their chat all the time and everyone I've ever interacted with has been kind and helpful. I also enjoy how they are constantly looking at how to better their product, so that we get the most bang for our buck. So that we can improve our webinars or how we use their product.

What do you dislike about ON24?

There's not much I dislike. The one thing is that their webinar console builder could be a bit easier to use but they're already in the process of improving that so I'm excited to see what that will be like in a few months. Currently it's a flash builder and occasionally I have an issue where it doesn't save the changes I'm applying to it until the 4th or 5th try.

What problems is ON24 solving and how is that benefiting you?

I guess the benefits would be the more we are realizing we are able to do with ON24. We have your typical webinars with a slide presentation, but now we're looking into contributing video into it. Showing our speakers during our roundtable discussions. We're currently looking into using it to record our podcasts.

"Great Platform"
What do you like best about ON24?

The flexibility of ON24's look and feel is great. Other webinar platforms don't let you choose the skin for your background or where different widgets go or what they look like, so it's really nice that ON24 allows you to do this and more importantly, allows your customers / prospects to adjust how they see your presentation. They can move where widget are located and adjust the size (like the slides, resources you offer them, video of the speaker, etc). The integration with Marketo is pretty good as well!

What do you dislike about ON24?

Running webinars using Simulive (appears to be live, but is a recording) is so valuable, but you can only use this functionality for webinars that you recorded on the platform. Maybe it's a limitation of the software that makes it difficult to do this for videos that were made using a different platform, but it means in order to use this functionality you have to build up a library (or at least a few) webinars recorded specifically on this platform.

What problems is ON24 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Engagement with existing customers and prospective customers is so important - ON24 has an engagement score associated with each attendee that allows you to determine how engaged they were using the webinar!

What do you like best about ON24?

Lots of widgets to choose from in order to customise the user's experience. Solid analytics, and they're getting better and better. It's easy to setup a webcast. Support reps are helpful. Deep and broad community for learning/sharing best practices.

What do you dislike about ON24?

I'd like to see some better functionality around e-mail templates and ICS templates. In particular, some easy to setup and customise mobile friendly templates that can incorporate your company's logo and colors. For ICS files/calendar functionality, a way to customise the look of the calendar piece and a way t share links to additional types of calendar services, like Google Calendar, Yahoo Calendar, Outlook.com, et cetera. Also, I would love to see something similar to Zurb's Joyride added to the UI on both the CMS and user sides of the tool, so that users new to both the backend and frontend can get the most out of the tool. I'd like to see greater optimization around the webcast pages themselves so that Facebook shares, tweets and the like are optimized. Also, more freedom to add one off questions to the registration page would be good, in order to gather data pre-event that can inform the content you provide during the webcast.

What problems is ON24 solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's a great way to provide engaging content to your clients. My recommendation? Read up on best practices in the community in order to make the most out of what the platform offers.

"Great for large scale webcasts"
What do you like best about ON24?

I like On24s full suite of functionalities for virtual event set up, management and reporting. Especially the ability to: 1. Set up the registration form and page with an intuitive UI 2. Configure pre and post event emails 3. Design the console/page for the webcast 4. Keep the same event URL for pre event registration as well as accessing the on-demand recording 5. See registration and event reporting in terms of attendees, engagement and drop-offs

What do you dislike about ON24?

There isn't much I dislike, but if I had to get picky: 1. Audio and video are sometimes out of sync in the recording, especially if you trim the video in any way 2. Copying an event to another (which isn't recommended) can lead to the PPT being stuck--but its quickly resolved via a support ticket. You can copy a template of an event without any attached PPT just fine. 3. I'd also like to be able to use different file formats for the presentation other than PPT, such as PDF which isn't possible today.

What problems is ON24 solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use On24 for large scale virtual events because other conferencing tools had a low threshold for maximum attendees, especially when dealing with video broadcasts. I primarily use it for internal facing events, so the main benefit realized is a seamless registration and post-event viewing experience for associates. I can also see this having a huge impact for external facing events, in the form of thought leadership, lead generation, etc.

"Best Product in the Market"
What do you like best about ON24?

ON24's platform offers more than any other product on the market. Not only are the reporting features extensive, the engagement opportunities are endless. From surveys to polls to social media connection and more, users can interact during webinars on many levels, with the ability to share outside of the webinar.

What do you dislike about ON24?

We did have a bumpy start with some connection issues during live webinars, as well as some webcam functionality issues, but at this point we understand what doesn't and doesn't work with the platform and are able to correctly use the product.

What problems is ON24 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our webinar program has been live for about 2 years now, and the engagement from our audience has increased massively. This platform also allows us to put on more professional webinars that our audience can take seriously and share knowledge about.

What do you like best about ON24?

ON24 is a fine product and the branding opportunities are good. The contracting process is cumbersome and makes the overall customer experience challenging.

What do you dislike about ON24?

I don't like the process of renewing licenses. I was told that the pricing had to be bundled and not provided line-by-line. This process is not transparent and the experience was challenging.

What do you like best about ON24?

There are a lot of cool options like polling, surveys, adding media, and group chats. I love how we have the ability to brand our page by including logos, specific colouring, and the types of icons that we want to include as well. The 'lobby' is a great feature that not many webinar providers have. Gives your viewers the chance to consume content while waiting.

What do you dislike about ON24?

Cloning past events can makes things difficult. While it is a great feature, if done too many times, it can cause issues. For example, sometimes after you upload your powerpoint presentation deck, it can duplicate the amount of slides. If you're unaware of this before going live, it can cause a real headache. Also, in order to solve the problem, it's a tricky solution that at the time, only a customer service rep knew how to solve. There was no documentation on how to solve the problem. Another issue is connectivity. If presenting over wifi, if your connection is not really strong then it can prevent the slides from moving forward. I would highly recommend connecting to a landline to eliminate that fear.

What problems is ON24 solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has been relatively easy to use but as mentioned, complications can arise when cloned too many times. Great for Q&A, polling, and any additional mid webinar questions to get the info you need.

What do you like best about ON24?

I love how interactive the console is. Many of our competitors use WebX or GoToMeeting, which don't compare to On24's capabilities. My favorites are the poll questions and survey. I also love the interactive reporting that is provided. Ranking of registrants is very helpful, along with the breakdown of registrant sources. Overall, I love the functionality of this program!

What do you dislike about ON24?

I have been working with On24 for the past 3.5 years and have had many technical difficulties. I understand that webinars are based on internet connection and will have issues. However, when we have had issues, we never get a clear resolution from our account management team and the blame is often laid upon the presenters dialing in, rather than On24 technology.

What problems is ON24 solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use On24 internally to host trainings and externally for marketing purposes.

"Does a decent job - questionable UI"
What do you like best about ON24?

ON24 looks really great from a viewer's perspective. I like how it automates the recording of all webinars and creates a tidy video for on demand. It also has a really great integration with Marketo, which is important for what we were using it. I also felt it reliably hosted videos, and I never really had a problem with the product not working. Also, the support is exceptional! I always got a quick and helpful response.

What do you dislike about ON24?

I don't really feel like the cost is justified in the functionality. First, we use it alongside a large martech stack, so reporting and all these things are done elsewhere. Also, I feel like the backend is a bit kludgy, and could frankly use a facelift. It's a bit hard to navigate or figure things out unless you have explicit training. I would not call it intuitive.

What problems is ON24 solving and how is that benefiting you?

The business problem was a way to host webinars and capture respondents through our full system. To that end, ON24 was successful. I just feel like this same functionality is available in less expensive systems.

What do you like best about ON24?

The interface is quite clean and not overloaded with information. However, it would be great if it could be more 2021. Say, help window, looks like help from my HP printer back in 1999, just a plain html site with hyperlinks. It looks dull and uninviting. What I definitely like is this automated verificator of input text. If I'm right, it count every positive word, like clean, great, awesome etc. That's pretty smart approach to gamification.

What do you dislike about ON24?

There is no information about the actual date of the event, no direct link to the current live session, no easy way to see recorded sessions. I'd love to be able to see a clean agenda in a table, that is clearly understandable and accessible. Also, having an option to see all the things in the main agenda in my timezone, instead of BTS, would be great. Timezones are tricky, you never know if the other one is currently in summer time or not, it requires manually checking every time on google.

What problems is ON24 solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am looking for a good platform to create online events. I've browsed many, but instead of demo, if you want to see how the platform works, it is best to see it in action, and that's why I'm here now. Besides, It's great to look around about the cool and interesting content from the industry, that someone spent time and effort to properly prepare. I hope I'm able also to communicate with other people working in the same industry and get some valuable insights about further development of this and similar tools.

The linking can sometimes be confusing to navigate. And you can be timed out fairly easily.

"It's awesome when it works, but the troubleshooting and customer service is a challenge."
What do you like best about ON24?

The ability to make use of a wide variety of features for the producer as well as on the audience side is great. The email notification system is helpful and easy to use. The flexibility in presentation modes is really cool, and the ability to repurpose content for on-demand use. I really like the group chat and poll question features. They add another layer of engagement to the webcasts and makes it feel more personal.

What do you dislike about ON24?

Most customer service experiences are a challenge, especially the first tier of chat support. It is often frustrating to use the support chat, as the staff often will misunderstand questions and come back with irrelevant responses. It doesn't seem that ON24 is very up front about technical bugs. It usually takes a while for the staff to admit that there is an issue. For example, the bug with the certification widget. ON24 found an issue but did not communicate it to the clients, and I'm still waiting on a solution for that issue. One person said that it was not communicated because it was an unintended result...it seems like unintended results should be communicated all the more. These kinds of issues weaken customer confidence and trust that ON24 is trying to do what is best for the clients.

What problems is ON24 solving and how is that benefiting you?

We're able to track our programs with more accuracy and communication with the membership. We're also able to offer a more robust on-demand experience as opposed to simply posting video recordings on YouTube. It gives us a better idea of what our membership is interested in and what their needs are.

The backend is messy and hard to train new users to use. It also runs on flash and this is about to be discontinued and no one has updated us on how they will move forward. There is no easy video editing tools or features that they offer to raise the quality of the video
