One thing which clicks or connects really well while using Close tool is its user interface. Easy to use and understand and less steps involved to get what a typical sales manager needs.
Absence of "Contacts" section in the tool. Would be great if there is altogether a separate tab for having all the qualified leads under the contacts section like most other CRMs,
Consistent follow ups on qualified leads for sale. The email scheduling and the template options in the tool helped your sales managers tap on the 20% leads that earlier we were losing on account of missed follow ups.
It's a developed product that allows helping prospects (and later, customers) on every step of the customer journey. A lot of sorting possibilities, good searching algorithm, and a fair price makes Close.IO worth checking.
Adding some of the options to drop-down lists is reserved only for administrators. I understand, that it might be reasonable for large companies but for smaller groups it's just troublesome. It could be nice if this was something that senior users could disable or enable.
We're storing the potential leads and sort them to offer them solutions tailored to their needs. With close.io we can do it more precisely.
You are able to run specific queries like a database and there is a fair amount of flexibility with custom fields. The bulk emailing can save a ton of time when emailing several leads.
UI is a bit plain and reporting is not very good unless you pay for the highest priced plan. Also no mobile app means you are chained to your computer.
How to quickly qualify large amounts of leads. Smart views and API integrations have allowed us to do this effectively at scale.
Automated logging of sent/received emails, automated call tracking and recording. Ability to add custom tags, create tasks, and set automated reminders so that your sales team has peace of mind.
It's designed for engineering-type personalities -- no visualizations of the data, but rather a search bar that requires you to learn complex search formulas in order for you to sort out the data you need. Requires exporting to CSV and reworking in Excel to get the charts and graphs and other visual representations of your sales pipeline.
Salesforce was cumbersome, clunky, and inflexible, but sales teams need a CRM in order to run a sophisticated sales operation. Close.io offered us the customizable, lightweight software we were looking for, and that's allowed us to focus on our sales work, not our sales CRM.
- Fast and simple to use, easy to find the right info in few seconds - E-mail integration, and the activity timeline on a lead in general - Collaboration: information is available by all the staff, even professional e-mail if wanted - The API is pretty simple and allows you to connect your own website to Close (for example to integrate leads information obtained through signup form in your public website.)
The lack of dashboard and a global activity timeline to track who does what in the day, what I need to do today, etc. Pricing is a bit high compared to its competitors though.
Managing our prospects in order to be able to follow them and close our deals. The collaboration and exchange of information about deals is way simpler thanks to Close.io so we gain time in checking in which state is each deal. However, it really misses a super dashboard with activity of the day/week/month. We are not using it for client follow-up even though it seems to give tools for that.
Ease of Use: The interface is user-friendly, making navigation and operations straightforward. List View in Opportunity: This feature simplifies deal management, allowing efficient review and tracking of prospects. Contact Addition Feature: The ability to add contacts directly by clicking their email enhances convenience. Responsive Support: The support team is consistently quick and helpful, ensuring timely assistance.
User Administration: There's a significant amount of administrative work required from the users. Enhanced automation, particularly in lead creation, could greatly improve efficiency. Workflows (Previously Sequences): Although improved, these still lack the desired flexibility and functionality. Reporting Limitations: The current reporting system is inadequate, often necessitating the export of data into an external Excel database for comprehensive analysis.
Improved Engagement with CRM Database: Close CRM simplifies the process of engaging with our CRM. Its user-friendly interface ensures that we can interact with our customer data more efficiently, leading to better management and utilization of our CRM resources. Efficient Mass Emailing to Segmented Contacts: The platform allows us to send targeted emails to segmented groups of contacts effortlessly. This feature is particularly beneficial for marketing campaigns and regular communication, ensuring that the right messages reach the right audience without unnecessary manual sorting. Creation of Smart Views for Follow-Ups: Close CRM enables the creation of 'Smart Views', which are customized, dynamic lists that help in tracking and following up with contacts. This tool is invaluable for ensuring timely and organized communication, enhancing our ability to stay on top of customer interactions and needs. Overall, Close CRM streamlines our customer engagement and communication processes, making them more effective and less time-consuming. These improvements have a direct positive impact on our customer relationship management and business operations.
The ability to call through the app, the ability to use filters via smart views and also the ability to sync with our internal system.
Constantly changing the design and not telling users about it; we need to figure out on our own how the interface is working which makes it difficult for day-to-day operations.
CLose is causing more issues when they redesign the interface and not telling users about it.
Relatively simple to use. I also like the integrations it has available in it.
Not great training on how to use the platform to its full potential. I can't make calls from my personal phone using the number I have Close.
It's helping me be better organized with tasks that I need to remember etc. As well as follow ups.
Simple and easy to use user-friendly interface. Easy to add leads and relevant information information to those leads. Calling is simple - just click the phone number and it calls, recording it automatically. Email templates and sequences are excellent and we use them daily mostly without issue. Custom fields are very convenient and it's easy to sort leads by their custom field - this helps track different types of leads owned by different reps.
Not ideal for tracking sales outreach processes and sequences, like who to reach out to and when. We basically have to manually set reminders for when to call someone after an email, etc. It'd be nice if that were integrated into sequences automatically. Not a fan of how all notifications end up in "Inbox". Inbox should only be emails, while notifcations and tasks should have their own tabs. Call recording quality is pretty bad, and a great external mic is necessary to have good sound quality while speaking.
We are conducting our inbound and outbound efforts. Inbound includes enterprise forms that integrate nicely with Close via an API. We also track website signups manually in Close and send an email template to them, which has helped convert some basic users into enterprise customers. We've been able to obtain new customers via our outbound efforts as Close helps scale up operations and stay a bit organized.
Close.io has really strong base functionality, with good call, email, and lead tracking. The reporting is great for keeping tabs on a small team, and understanding basic activity metrics. Overall the application just works great out of the box, and is organized the way that I needed it to be for my software sales team.
The lack of integrations will ultimately be prohibitive for any team as they scale. There are aspects of Marketing automation, outbound prospecting, profiling, etc. that will be crucial. There aren't existing integrations with Marketo, Hubspot, etc. or Salesloft, insidesales.com, Outreach.io, etc., but the CRM piece itself is really strong.
Managing prospects through a sales cycle. Closing new business and communicating with clients.
I like best in Close the support I get is very timely.
The customizability and database aspect of can become messy real quick.
It is a sigular place that holds alot of our information that many people across the company may access.
Close has an auto dialer feature that helps reduce time spent dialing. It's great to keep all your leads in and cold call all day long.
Close is only good for a sales CRM and cold calling. You need to have a ton of leads and someone able to make calls all day everyday for this to make sense.
Close was great for a sales team member that could call all day long when we had a lot of leads. It reduced the time of dialing.
I like how I can communicate with clients via email, text and call in one system.
I've only been using close for a short amount of time so there's nothing I dislike.
Being able to communicate with clients are update their notes.
The support is wonderful. Quickly replied, provided clear instructions, and was very helpful.
The UX is a little dated (as I'm sure most CRMs are), the sequencing seems pretty basic, and you need a few other 3rd party systems (CMS and Integration Tool like Zapier) to make it work as a full-throttle CRM (it's mostly just a sales system based on my usage). It's hard to get to custom reports, and I get the sense that they are just starting with product management, etc.
Sadly, Close solved one problem, tracking calls, but couldn't solve any of my other problems and, introduced new problems: no workflows for low-touch/no-touch leads, need to purchase Zapier vs. Segment to get the integration I wanted, no CMS, so I would have had to create a separate system for document storage, and custom reports is cumbersome. Probably a good tool for high volume, low complexity sales (i.e. boiler room type stuff)
The inbox feature was quite useful, and it automatically tracks and logs our emails. I also enjoyed the layout and interface of the app. It's clean and intuitive. The smart views are a nice features (although we never took advantage of it).
Our company was deciding on CRM, and we were recommended Close. However, CRM is such an important aspect and take efforts to manage When we first started using Close, after gone through the onboarding, setting up and migrating from our previous CRM, we still found ourselves clueless. Close is powerful, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't help if we don't fully take advantage of all the paid features. Our team tried reached out to Close to schedule a chat, we never heard back.
customer relationships, managing emails and conversations. Tracking sales progress and keeping every team member in sync of our progress and deals. Also company details and our key contacts
You can call and email from within the platform. In other CRMs I've used we've needed to add other tooling in addition to the core platform to complete sequence sends, phone calls, etc.
The reporting in Close is so far behind what I had at Salesforce. There needs to be easy dashboard creation for Sales leadership to build to show what's happening to their leadership and to build dashboards for their team to manage their day-to-day.
Close is our CRM for the sales team. It's how we contact potential customers and account manage our existing customers. Close allows us to send sequence emails to cold prospect, and send mass emails for post-sales initiatives as well.
The customer service is top notch. They are the quickest response team I've ever had to deal with and high majority of the time right on point. The cleanest CRM yet.
It's incomplete for the daily job. Their CEO mentions it is built for the end user but there are some simple changes that result in the user having to work around.
Organization and note taking.
I've used Close for 4 1/2 years and have recommended it to many of my peers over the years.
Close is trying to increase my monthly by 2.5x what I'm currently paying for no reason. I was given a discounted rate at sign up because I'm not able to use some of the core features in the business plan, but still wanted access to features that are only available in that plan. Nothing has changed in the way that I use close, yet they have decided to no longer honor the original agreed upon terms. Now I'm migrating everything over to Pipedrive.
Good for prospecting and follow-up.
Close gives you the ability to take all the "thinking" out of sales. Who should I be calling? What's the next steps with this lead? etc etc. If you build out your smartviews properly, you never have to ask these questions again. Close will just show you the leads you need to action on. Previously, the CRMs we've used required creating followup reminders and tasks for every lead. Now, we only do that for about 5% of the leads who require a slightly different process. This does require a good understanding of your workflow. Even more so than basic CRMs. To get the full benefit, you MUST have all the sales steps mapped out. The team provide great customer service, and it feels like they care about your results. Integration through Zapier is really powerful.
Twilio call prices for Australia are insane and don't make sense. This is why we moved away from Close.com in 2019. However, we've found that even with the sky high calling costs, close.com simply makes us far more money. And that's why we're back.
Previously, we would have hundreds of leads which weren't being dealt with efficiently. Lots of follow up tasks, lots of moving follow up tasks to the next day, and then a huge buildup of leads who have missed out on a great customer experience. Now, every lead gets full attention.
It's a easy interface to get around and I like its reliability. Its amazing especially when your constantly using it so everything is fully automated which makes it all easy to use.
You can't use the predictive dailer feature on yor smartphone so you won't be able to powerdial
Not having to manually send out texts or emails and i like it allows you to make premade yemplets to send out.
