Extra features over the vimeo regular
Not very simple to navigate, and explore new features.
Sharing, stats.
The quality of the Vimeo encoder is great.
Sometimes the buffering can be a little slow.
Video sharing is made easy with Vimeo Pro.. The benefits of this are huge, sending large video files is always a pain point..
mobile access can't use on company equipment
slow lots of buffering can't have too many applications open
can use on mobile devices
I think the editing capabilities and the user interface is great.
Just like any marketplace, if no one is there then it's not worth going to
Connections to other content creators
As an editor, I like that I can publish in high quality. I also like that I get so much storage space.
I dislike the search function. I feel like it’s difficult to find specific videos on the site.
Eliminates the need to free up storage space. Makes sharing private videos easy.
It's nice to either browse for others' work, or upload your own.
It's a bit cluttered with a variety of subject matter, and sometimes it feels a little too... "hipster", as it's a very common platform for beginners to showcase their skills.
If I need to upload a video to share en masse, it's perfect. Much more reliable than youtube, and the audience is more mature and controlled. Perfect for getting your message across without internet trolling.
Very easy to use. Currently using Vimeo plus, which offers increased hosting capacity (among other benefits) compared to the free accounts. We typically use Vimeo for internal projects that require more hosting capacity and security (i.e., internal training videos, etc).
Like the features and measurement provided by Wistia better.
Not provided
I like the professional feel of the platform, especially on Roku.
Main dislike would be that videos are broken into parts and that there are no recurring keys.
We are hoping that vimeo is going to be able to have recurring keys so that we can have a daily episode of something on our site.
As a viewer of videos already uploaded, I find Vimeo a very nice platform to use.
I don't like that Vimeo automatically assumes what you want in a video. It makes a draft out of your uploads without the user being able to make edits or suggestions. I don't see it as user-friendly as some software I have used. This software cannot be used in a pinch, in my opinion.
We frequently upload videos for work, and having video software, such as Vimeo, allows us to have options.
A decent user network for relatively short videos.
Not developed for multi-sided professional video streaming for live events.
Many Vimeo videos are already available in other larger platforms, so I may not need to search on Vimeo when I have other options. Some short academic videos provided by certain academic associations are supplied only via Vimeo, so I will focus on that specific category.
I really like the layout of Vimeo because the learning curve is very low and allows even novices to understand how to use it.
I didn’t like that the features of the platform were fairly limited to basic items compared to other video hosting sites.
We used it to share videos privately with clients for their review.
The video based content. Gives more in depth look versus photos on Instagram & limited video footage (time-wise)
Having to use a different app for high quality video content. Wish it was more integrated into other social media platforms.
Sharing high quality content online without a lot of common limitations
Vimeo is an easy way to provide links for clients to access the videos we've produced for them. Links are as simple as any web link. You can make a video private and password protect it, unlist it, ensure only specific Vimeo users can see a video, etc.v
It's 2018 and streaming shouldn't be complicated. Unfortunately, despite accessing Vimeo from many locations (home computer, office, mobile, client's offices) Vimeo has continued to prove its total incompetence.
I used Vimeo Pro for uploading and presenting videos to clients. Vimeo was a simple way to share links to our work as well as keep videos password protected for clients.
ease of use with a minimal learning curve
has some features which are a bit more challenging
usage of storage for videos especially with advertising
I do like that the PRO account allows for up to 4 times the amount of storage as the PLUS or basic accounts have. Also you can add other users to your account without facing a price increase.
I don't like that they have no option for monthly billing, I understand the reasoning behind it but I feel like the annual billing makes it inaccessible for a lot of users.
It is easy accessibility for video hosting and sharing. I also feel like it is a safe and secure form of storage. It reduces anxiety of physical hardware storage becoming damaged.
It contains a very good video player and makes it easy
Like a lot of software, there is a lot of ads and prices for more storage are higher
Makes it easy to produce the videos I need compared to other video making software
I like that you're able to upload large video files that can then me tethered to another social media app
Not user friendly when it come to navigating through different areas of the site
Try to create videos for advertisement
You find videos that are not on Youtube. Vimeo's rules and regulations seem to be a little more relaxed than other video publishing websites.
Vimeo is outdated. Anything you watch here is mostly already published on YouTube save the ones that are copyright protected.
Videos upload and business video sharing.
It's a video platform that allows you to upload and bill for content
You don't get customers names and email Response time from customer service is slow and not helpful They take %10 of revenue (thinkific or others only charge monthly fee regardless of revenue) Poor options for video organization
None
