Intuitive design elements make things easy to be used by not technical team members
Things change a lot and when that happens customer service and/or sales is not very helpful
Building quick and simple landing pages
The tools is fine. It allows you to build landing pages quickly and quite easily.
They cancelled our account, while there's no payment issue, without notifying us and are hard to reach (emailing is the only option). This is absolutely unacceptable behavior and some of our most important pages are now offline.
It helps us get in leads through our ad efforts.
The service when I initially started using it did what it said it would do, albeit page load times were very slow. After a couple of months of using the service I realised there were far better alternatives and tried to cancel, unfortunately this is when my experience became a terrible one.
I tried to cancel membership with instapage, I made it very clear my work email address and that I would like to cancel immediately. At the time I was paying $199/month. The customer service team came back and confirmed they had received my email to cancel the membership and were sorry to see me go. They then came back a week later with an email that landed in my junk folder with a long list of things I had to provide to cancel, all of which they had on their system already. I did not see this email as it landed in my junk mail, why did it land in my junk folder unlike their other emails, why did they not at least pause the subscription? Why did they not follow up? Why did they not cancel the membership as per my clear request which they confirmed had been received and responded saying they were sorry to see me leave? Unfortunately, I was paying for the service on my American Express which is a large number of monthly transactions and their payments slipped through the net as my accounts team assumed we were still using the service. They continued to charge me and even had the audacity to put their fee up to $399/month without our permission. They've continued to charge for 15 months. I emailed Instapage expecting them to offer us a refund as we had clearly cancelled the membership and they had responded confirming they had received our request, instead they offered no apology but a blunt response saying they could not help. I've since checked their trust pilot reviews and can see this has happened to many businesses they work with. It's a subscription trap plain and simple, they make it as hard as possible to cancel and use tactics to keep you locked in even when you've made it clear you no longer want to use the service. I advise you strongly to avoid.
None, it's not a good product, the terrible page load speed makes it worthless. None, it is a terrible product, there are far better alternatives on the internet.
Fairly easy to make landing pages without coding.
Their billing practices are abusive. In my case, I signed up and opted for annual billing to take advantage of the 12 month discount. Cost was about $1,200 for the year. I used it for maybe 4 months and figured it was a sunk cost. At the one year mark, a charge for $2,000 appeared on my credit card. I hadn't used or thought about Instapage for months. Somewhere buried in the terms and conditions there was a note about 'we will automatically renew if you don't cancel within 30 days of the renewal'. I contacted the company, they refused to provide any options for handling the situation other than they keep the money, and I get access to a service I don't use. I disputed the charge with my bank, and my bank was able to get $600 back. Instapage then retaliated by closing my account, even though I've paid $1,400 in advance for use of the site, which wouldn't be a big deal except now I have need to use the service. They don't provide good warning about their billing practices, and they will not work with you if you have a problem. Avoid this company.
I used instapage to try a new landing page to realize more sign-ups.
Landing pages look good out of the box without designing skills. Easy to build new ones, and connect domain names.
Customer service policies, continued pricing changes. They justify these price changes but telling you that additional features are enabled, but why not just offer those to customers over changing their plan for features they aren't using?
Build a large number of landing pages with a bunch of different domains
Easy to use and quickly being able to create the landing page.
Landing pages are slow (Google Ads constantly alerts about this issue). Once you develop all the pages on their plataform they have you locked in. Won't give you a HTML export of your landing pages. You either suck it up and pay more or have to clone all the landing pages on another software. Expensive.
Landing page builder with personalization to use with Google Ads.
I liked the ability to drag and drop pictures and text anywhere I wanted it. Cropping images in the software was nice.
Getting pictures to line up to the middle was a guess. It would lock into the center of other objects versus the middle. I am not able to define the exact measurements of the actual image. The forms were really large and bulky and there was not a way to slim them down.
I needed to create landing pages fast and duplicate them over and over again. I realized this is not the goal of instapage as they only want you to have 30 pages in your account before you upgrade to enterprise which cost over 10x more!!!
Instapage is easy to use. Creating landing pages and getting them setup in Wordpress is incredibly easy. I love the integration with mailchimp as well as the ability to redirect pages to thank you pages for conversion counting. They is also a large template library which is useful when you are needing fresh ideas for some of the landing pages. The mobile pages are much more improved and you do not have to create a separate mobile page but instead can use the desktop pages.you created for mobile. All versions have unlimited visitors and unlimited domains so you can use this software across multiple websites and clients.
**Trying to cancel your account is easy but unless you can do it within 24 hours of being billed, you will not get a refund for anything you paid. They throw the terms of service in your face which is never on the emails about your account renewing. That is bad business!** Some of the features I wanted to use such as using html forms & A/B page testing are considered advanced and require a more expensive package so upgrading is required. I am not a fan of the conversion dashboard, it's kind of clunky.
I am using LPs in a couple ways. As a lead generation funnel for Adwords campaigns and as a registration page for a product I am selling.
It makes landing pages and has integrations (that occasionally work) with popular marketing software.
This might be the buggiest piece of production software I've ever encountered. Yesterday it was the H1, H2, H3, etc. heading tags not working. Today my integrations with both Salesforce and Autopilot stopped working. There have been many other bugs encountered in the past few months but I've tried to block them out. Their pricing / product comparison page is also misleading. They don't list UTM Parameters as a feature that isn't available in some versions. But it's not available in their Core version. They claim that UTM Parameters is the same thing as "Dynamic Text Replacement" (DTR) but, according to their own page on DTR, DTR is a different feature (DTR dynamically changes text shown to the user visiting the landing page; in contrast UTM parameters are not seem by users). Relative to other marketing tools that actually work as intended, Instapage is also really expensive.
At present Instapage is causing more problems than it's solving. Rather than getting stuff done with Instapage, I spend my days discovering and documenting Instapage bugs, reporting them via their live chat, having the live chat person tell me they don't know why it's not behaving as it should and that they need to "consult a colleague," then never hearing back with a resolution.
I like the ability to tracks leads easily
It's not responsive, there is no full width site option, you can't do background videos, there is no true parallax, you can fully control the mobile version, mobile version always looks stupid.
lead tracking and management
I've been a lrimiym acccount holder with Instapage for about 8 years. They make building and maintaining dozens of pages easy as possible. I love the global blocks that update a block on dozens of websites from only one edit.
I wish the have the pricing they used to have 8 years ago.
I need a platform I can admit myself to tune in the content without engaging others who are more technical but don't understand my vision.
It's a very easy to use/learn platform! Anyone can use it! The support team is great.
Some features are limited, many things are tedious to build through instapage (like tables). Background shapes are hard to manipulate.
It is providing us a space to build out landing pages.
Easy to build conversion focused landing pages, ability to scale for agency growth easily and get pages published without using up dev resources. Similar to Unbounce, but easier to use.
Some limited design functionality, like no image sliders unless you pay for extra production hours. Would be nice to be a bit more customizable if needed for design elements.
Helps our agency launch and test new CRO focused landing pages easily. Ability to improve conversion rates long term for clients. Helped clients grow lead volume.
Instapage has been very accessible for our team. It gets the job done, and their support team is very helpful and responsive!
The platform has been very helpful for our needs.
We needed to transition some of our pages off of our account and onto a client's. The team explained the process and it seems like it will be a smooth transition.
I really liked how user friendly the drag and drop features were. The best part of my experience was the helpful chat support.
It took me sometime to figure out how to connect all of our various tracking pixels and make sure that was set up properly, but the interface was easy to use.
Allowing our brand to design unique landing pages for giveaways or one-time projects that we could not easily design pages on our website for.
Instapage has top-class Support - It's not like you would need help every day, but our experience was very smooth whenever required. They are knowledgeable about their product and very responsive. As a tool, Instapage serves its purpose and beats the competition because of their vision and, again, Support to their client.
Because of how Instapage folder structure works, you can enable different sets of permissions to users and on different workgroups. This is a good feature, but the only drawback is when I need to export Active Users and their level of access. Currently, it's not something that can be done via the backend. I would like to see this feature in their roadmap.
We have great demand of standing-up landing pages from different parts of our organization, and Instapage allows us to enable our internal users to accomplish that. Our internal stakeholders can publish pages in minutes, whenever needed using our branded template in Instapage.
I liked the page builder that they have integrated, it's basically an Elementor inside instapage.
There is a lack of ways to understand the metrics, without having to contact the sales team. I mean, if I want the heat map potion, I find it cumbersome to have to contact sales to do it when they should include it as part of the plan payment.
It helped my designers to be able to move much faster in the creation of the landing pages. Before you had to program everything and it took time. Although I must admit that we did not have a good conversion unlike when we used the competition.
The best upside is no dependency over Tech. One can design the page themselves and increase the revenue of the organisation. It is the best when you compare it to others in the market. The support system exceeds every expectation. They go beyond to solve the issues. It is overwhelming.
The downsides could be that it just provides the desktop and Mobile view. We can add the iPad view as well. This will ease down the process of adjusting the alignment
We are solving the problem of hosting our Landing pages. It has increased the traffic to our products. The fancy page helps us introduce the problem along with solutions for the users who come to our pages looking for them.
The ease of use of the drag and drop page builder is second to none. I've used a number of different landing page platforms over my career and I find Instapage to be the most intuitive to use, and have a great set of integrations and analytics features on top of everything else.
There really isn't much that I disliked. If I had to say anything it would be the user setting menu was a bit hidden but they recently changed that to be easier to access.
We needed an intuitive and easy-to-use solution to build landing pages for our various paid campaigns. Instapgae powers landing pages for all of our ppc, paid social, events, and more.
I like the easy to use interface and the support team is super helpful
very limiting in some aspects. I wish there were more widget options
we needed individual landing pages. I'm really impressed with the A/B testing capabilties
