You know how every easy to use management app leaks an important feature? With Ninox you simply create that feature your self.
It is little bit lack of documentation and tutorial which I feel necessary. A specially when you only start using Ninox. But wide costumer community, forum and webinars with friendly support making this iss less critical.
My business credo is that all processes must be convert in a number, so when you have a lot of processes means you have lot of numbers with related data. Ninox database with NX language allows me to analyze all my processes and catch up most important results like net price and prime price.
Building highly complex interdependent data sheets. Being able to generate invoices from initial quotes. Having complex contact person sheets. Being able to create a small database to start with and then expand as you find out more and more about the real needs of your company towards such a database. In our case we implemented "Met this contact at the following trade show:", which became an important info. Having a database programmer implement this later into your database can be a costly experience, when you use ninox though, it's a matter of minutes or less to omplement an option like that.
Automation of f.i. emailing prints / pdfs not implemented. Overall design at the moment. I hit the wrong button after altering the database, instead of Änderung sichern I hit Änderung verwerfen, because they look the same, you have to read. Better would be a disc-icon and a cancel icon and the two possibilities separated a little bit. Happened to me at least 10 times. Plus my users can delete things (accidentally possibly) and there is no command-z / undo for that, as far as I can see. An option to have users actively save their changes would be good. Possibly checkable for the admin, so that there is the choice of save button or no save button.
Customer database for a magazine with quotes, convert those into invoices and print them as pdf. Overview over each issue with ads booked and content (pages filled / not filled yet). A secong database for my personal design clients, charging by the hour, contacts.
Its so simple to create own Applications, which are perfectly integrated in our Workflow. Another great Feature of Ninox is the same look and feel on all Devices, like Computer, Tablet or Phone.
It's almost perfect. it would be nice to have more own Interface Design possibilities. Another Thing is the Ninox Script Documentation, the Documentation is not sufficient at the Moment.
We use Ninox to create Bills and Quotes, for CRM and Project Management. We also use Ninox to document our Appliance Test's for our Costumers.
Ninox is very easy and intuitive for database creation. Simple databases are extremely easy to set up and great custom features enable users with a little more ambition to create highly functional and automated products that can be used by others who may have little technical knowledge.
I find the Formula Editor difficult to use and I have trouble creating the code I want with it. I prefer to type line by line code and I like example code included in the help sections.
As an airline pilot I'm using Ninox to replace my personal professional flying logbook software that has become over priced and over complex for my needs. I love the data synchronisation across multiple platforms iPad, iPhone, MacBook etc. all at at a very good price. I have created and shared my logbook database with other pilots in the company all of whom are impressed with the simplicity and functionality of the software.
The possibility to see in real-time the stock and inventory of our products including list prices
If you have to search for more different numbers he needs time to react and change the window
We were able to support customer during the meeting with inventory or stock information
What I really appreciate is the very helpful support, the great community, the new modern design and that the plattform has "no limits" - and the very affordable prices.
There is some potential für new functions (at print layout, code editor or mobile app), but ninox already has this points on their roadmap and is working on it. They is launching new features on a regular basis.
I already tested and worked with many different business apps and plattforms to digitalize small and medium sized companies, but all of them were lacking in functionality, flexibility or pricing - too inflexible, complex, or expensive. With ninox it is possible to easily develop individual business apps that exactly meet the needs of SME (and bigger companies) with very few code - also if you are not a programmer (as me too). And there are no limits: you can start with easy apps like time tracking or an easy CRM and also build a complete ERP including billing, project management, inventory management and much more - with ninox it is possible to digitalize practically all business processes of companies in nearly all branches and company sizes.
easy to use even for beginners, good price, good dokumentation,
no possibility to change UX. Printing the form as PDF (e.g. Invoice): no design options for the PDF export. Can´t add different fonts. Does only export imported pixel images but no PDFs. Only PDF export, no Excel, CSV,…
optimised workflow: from costumer leads over production to final delivery
- Besides the highly modular software itself, I'd like to mention the customer support. There were a few occasions we had to reach out to them and they were always very helpful and replied quickly. Always friendly, fast and professional. - Additionally, if you need assistance, there is a large online community.
The way subscriptions and licenses have to be purchased is very cumbersome and confusingly regulated via a third party software. This could be a bit more transparent and user-friendly. Multi-Factor-Authentication would be nice.
In our small business Ninox serves us as the main ERP/CRM software. It helps us to manage data about our clients, projects, accounting etc. In combination with Make (formerly Integromat) it is a very powerful and cost-effective tool.
