the variety of courses, the class schedules, and peer review system.
nothing specific. And, I don't have anything to complain about.
In my research, I run data analysis in R-program. I learned R from a specialised course in Coursera.
I love the various options (both free and paid) available to all users with Internet access. It's very easy to use!
I think it needs better mobile integration, and I would love to see some more course offerings!
This site covers all subjects such as Computer Science and Languages, and I feel that it is a great learning tool for those that are not looking to go back to school.
Availability of excellent, free courses.
Most videos are a little longer than actually needed.
Learning Scala.
I like newsletters recommending upcoming courses that I might be interested in. Also, great UI, communication...
I wouldn't have much to say. I would like a bit more transparency with payed and free courses and info about that.
Marketing issues. It helped me with social courses and materials
- allows you to take the best available courses at some of the best schools in the country/world - great place to learn if you are serious about learning yourself.
- actually nothing! Except just one recommendation: for paid courses, if Coursera could allow an introduction video/demo teaching of the course professors, it'd be a great evaluation method before taking on the study.
Learning new tools and higher studies in my field. I haven't gotten very serious about the courses, but i think if i am able to show a little more dedication, i know coursera is a great place to learn.
The varied style of teaching, broad but engaging overviews on subjects, quizzes, peer participation and interactions through forums and of course homeworks. These I find the best features to keep me motivated. The fact that education is free in this form is a Utopian's dream!
Depending on the instructor, it is easy to loose interest in some courses. Either because the material assumes more prior knowledge than stated or because the subject matter is too focused,
A lot of the courses I have taken have been on data science and analytics geared toward making a transition in my workplace. Benefit - I have been able to change my role in my workplace that better uses the skill set acquired through all the learning on Coursera!
I've now used Coursera for Data Science Specialization. Paid for the courses to get the certificates. Quality was great. I've also taken an Intro to Astronomy course. Currently taking Jazz Improvisation - just auditing it. I like the way the interface is the same between courses. Makes navigation easy. I have found the Discussion forums immensely useful for completing homework.
Can't say anything negative. Frankly, I'm surprised more people don't know and use it. I think Coursera should consider increasing their marketing.
Data Science. I'm leading an industrial Internet project and the Data Science training was great!
There is no cost associated with the education. The education provided is of quality. You can work at your own pace, for the most part. A large variety of topics.
There is nothing that I dislike about Coursera.
Expanding knowledge in all areas relevant to my work allows me to increase my capabilities and quality of work. I apply my learning to the systems change work and community development projects I am part of.
I enjoy an opportunity to learn about things that I did not learn as a college student. For example, I was always interested in psychology, but got B.S. in chemistry. With coursera I can follow my passion. I also find it useful to use some of the materials from MOOCs I have taken to use for the classes that I am teaching.
The site interface became a little bit confusing recently. There is no clear search algorithm and it is hard to determine what is the level of a course I am about to take.
I learned several important skill such as how to negotiate, conflict solving. Some of the teacher education courses were extremely useful.
Wide variety of courses in many different subject areas. Very good professors from a diverse set of universities and organizations. The ability to take many courses on my schedule. Discussion boards with people throughout the world help broaden your perspective on the topic.
Nothing that I dislike. I do not pay to get validated certificates. I just take the classes to learn about the topics covered in the classes. Having my assignments graded by other students in the class can be a problem for some people, but I haven't had any issues.
No business problems. I take the classes for personal development and enjoyment.
Coursera is an e-larning paltform that offers a wide range of specifications. The interface is simple and contains catlogs designed and organized for specifications. The purchase options is great and the transactions are smooth. The best thing is most of the trending basic courses are for free. The courses are designed by most of the reputed organizations or universities, the sessions are engaging and even provides quizes, assessments at the end of topic which improves our understanding. For most of the technical courses a project is assigned and rated based on your performance. The Certifications are most valued in this corporate system which is best thing that Coursera provides.
Coursera is the best e-learning platform and it earned that place with its management ,maintainance but there lacks some thing which are to be improved. Coursera provides wide range of courses on the same topic from different organizations so the teaching may differs from course to course which is not that appriciated as people may not understand its worth. On hands coding experience should be provided for beter stimulation exoerience.
Coursera helps me to honing my skills at the time of pandemic those courses improved my technical skills, communication skills, body language etc. The best thing about Coursera is Courses are valued.
Coursera is an e-learning platform that helps you find your interests and level up your skills in that topic. The Coursera interface is the best and easy to use. It divides the issues based on your level of learning. It offers a wide range of specifications with video explanations, real-time projects that give users desired stimulation, and even provides assessments to test your skills. The best thing I like about Coursera is that it even provides a collaborative cloud platform for users to work and learn with the instructor. And when you complete the Course, you receive certification from Coursera.
Coursera Search Optimization is limited, as it offers the same Course from various institutions and administrations. The teaching quality may vary, making it harder to pick from. Coursera should work on leveling up their hands-on practices, and the price structure should be affordable.
With Coursera, my skills improved with proper certification, which helped me show my skills. It allows for developing a career and for building a killer resume. It does help students to find there interest.
Coursera offers a huge variety of courses in various fields. It also doesn't restrict the user to any particular type of courses and provides a hollistic range of courses so that one can improve their soft as well as technical skills.
The batch system is not helpful at times as I like to watch and learn new things on my own time and not on a weekly schedule or a weekly plan. If you miss out, you have to reset your deadlines and you start in another batch.
Coursera is helping me to learn the skills required in my field first hand. We learn the things in the books but their application or implementation is taught well on Coursera.
It is the best platform where you can learn coding and technology related to current trends there are multiple courses available that you can learn and get certification from that, it will help you to increase your knowledge as well as opportunity to get job in the technology that you want.
As per my observation i didn't find anything that will disappoint me.
I gererally using this for improving my software skills like learning different coding language, web development, Android development and many more.
> Coursera has a vast category of online courses for almost everyone from the industry > I search for the relevant studies that I need learning upon, > Certifications offered are recognized/ affiliated with significant institutions worldwide > I can set a timeline as per my ease and availability for online learning.
> Price plans for some courses are very high as compared to the competitors
> I have been able to find the desired courses that I want to learn on Coursera.org; Coursera provides proper details and timelines to learn specific courses online.

Coursera is the best application that is providing courses with certificate. Some of them are free and some need to be paid but they provide a trial also for paid courses. The quality of video is awesome in both the type of courses. Beginners can start learning any thing from this application. It provides courses on a variety of topics.
According to me there is nothing to dislike in this application but the only thing is that some courses doesn not contain full information they need to be updated.
Coursera is a very easy to use application. It's interface is also very interactive and user friendly. The quality of courses are very good and they provides assignment with courses which are very challenging. Instructors are always their for us we can directly ask our questions from them. Its courses increase my knowledge which help me in getting my job of interest.
Coursera has offered the ability to learn offline, which allows for the ability to learn while commuting, down-time, travel, and even while exercising!
The user-experience is a bit awkward when navigating, as it requires a new series of step by step clicks to restart or refind something, instead of a back-click capability.
Coursera has allowed myself and others to continue our individual learning and development in our respective professional fields.
Coursera has a huge library of certifications and also offers Undergraduate and Post Graduations programs. Coursera app is fast and gives you complete track of your past and activities,it also allows you to reset the deadline so you can complete the course on different dates. The most important feature on coursera is verified and credit based certifications which definitely helps in both academic and profession
Some course are bit expensive and would love to see more social science programs ,other than these two i dont think there are anything to dislike coursera
Elearning is the most easiest way to keep yourself updated with market trends and technology. Coursera helped me in learning worlds leading technology from tops university and exchange views with real life students and University's professors. Once one of the university professors whom i added on my linkedin helped me in a blockchain project.
Coursera is a helpful source for the knowledge for the people who don't have access to the prof advance materials from the top-ranked university
Coursera charges high for the basic courses. There should be a difference between the pricing of the basic course and advance course
I try to improve my skill from the course which would boost my career
