Bamboo is customizable and user friendly for not only Human Resources, but for rest of the company. The reports of information are the best ad easy to explain to other members of company. We use Bamboo daily as our source of truth for the company. Customer service is fantastsic and always willing to help.

Unlike many HRIS' I've used in the past, Bamboo just does what you want it to do for HR and People Management, and it does those things in a way that is about as user friendly as you'll find for both the employer and the employee. I like how easy it is to set up automation tasks, whether it be onboarding and offboarding tasks queued to the right people, managing the 360 feedback and performance review process, or regularly scheduled wellbeing and satisfaction surveys. I also like how it makes previoulsly paper work flows like pay changes and department or job changes easy and you can customize the workflow to ensure it's approved by the right people. I also appreciate how easy it is to upload files for employees to view in a centralized location (think benefits information, policies, training materials, job descriptions), but also how easy it is to make any document, training, policy, etc., a signable document that is sent out and fully tracked by the system. The system also syncs to our internal ERP and external payroll and benefits administration systems (we don't use Bamboo for the latter two function) with minimal administrative effort. Not all of our employees have a company e-mail address or access to Teams where we share a lot of information, so we leverage the Announcements feature to send out duplicate messages to ensure all employees are hearing major announcements at the same time.
There are some limitations around how much you can customize work flows. The applicant tracking tool, while a perfectly good system, doesn't allow for some actions that other systems have, such as text messaging candidates or being able to send a candidate profile over to a hiring manager via e-mail or other way outside of the system (the hiring manager has to go into the system to view a candidate or the pool of candidates...as we know about hiring managers, many don't like to go into the ATS and just want to see the top candidates sent to them). Previously, we had chosen not to adopt Bamboo's timekeeping tool, payroll, or benefits administration due to a lack of features within those tools, but I know these have been improved over the years and may be worth revisiting.
Overall, Bamboo has allowed us to rely on a system and automation to handle previously paper tasks. I feel like I can trust the data that the system retains and the reports that it generates, for the most part, are displayed in a way that makes sense and can be reorganized and filtered outside of Bamboo with minimal work required.
I love how I can book my time off, see my vacation time, upcoming holidays. Also, I can be reminder to take trainings or sign documents for HR. Another part the I love is the company organogram, where I can see the staff and who works with who. In my company, we also use the "goals" which I hadn't use before, I loved it! I can set up my goals there,review with my manager ang keep track on those. The assessments are also done in BambooHR. We do it every semester, where I review my tasks and myself and my manager give me feedback, which is great! I'd highly recomend it! Suer easy to use and intuitive.
There is nothing I dislike about it BambooHR.
I can find all documents, contracts and training in BambooHR. It also reminds me when I need to do a new training or sign documents.

I have been using BambooHR for the past 6 years and I find it's such a user friendly HRIS (not only for the users but also for the admins). We are around 430 employees globally (Canada/US/Mexico/Europe/Asia) and all of our employees are using it. We love that it's so simple to add customized features as needed and it's always done in a timely manner by the BambooHR support group. We have multiple departments using BambooHR for different purposes (HR of course, Finance, IT). We, in HR, are using BambooHR daily and it's always easy, simple and fast.
I think I would say that one of the downside is that even though it is possible to integrate BambooHR with a variety of software, we haven't been able to link the vacation tab with our timesheets which are done through Dynamics 365. This causes a lot of manual reconciliation for our Finance team.
I think one problem BambooHR is solving is data tracking. It's so easy to customize and add any information you might need to track and keep in each employee's profile and then pull report with that information. Customization in BambooHR is great and really helpful!
What I like about using BambooHR is it is very easy to use. Easy to navigate and I've been using this product to manage my employee status and information.

When I first was onboarding, it was sent to my personal email and it was a bit tricky to make the switch to my work email, when those accounts were connected.

We started using BambooHR for all our HR needs. Its very user friendly for everyone in the company to use It keeps all our information in one place making it a great source for all information. We have many locations and it keeps a directory and org chart that is easy for all locations to look up employee contact information. It makes onboarding super easy and it is all done before a new hires start date! There are lots of templates to use or you can create your own and send announcements to the entire company through this platform! Implementation was super easy and a smooth transition. Customer support is great. East to communicate thorugh a chat feature to get assistance. As the HR Manager, I use this platform all day every day. There are lots of programs that integrate with BambooHR. In addition, the hiring process is awesome and you can post job openings, communicate with canidates, send offer letters and hire all through one platform.
There really isnt a downside to it. I wish I could send employment anniversary announcement cards or "high five's" to employees when they have done a great job. That is a feature I would like to see. They do have E Birthday Cards that you can create and send to an employee on their birthday!

BambooHR's interface is user-friendly. Our employees were excited to have an easy to use method for requesting time off. It has helped our HR team streamline recruiting efforts and performance management. The reporting capabilities allow us to compare performance results with data collected external surveys. We have not utilized pulse surveys but plan to in the future. The celebrations section encourages our employees to celebrate one another, whether it is anniversaries or birthdays. These small reminders help us to intentionally connect with our remote employees. There are less customization options than you would see in a Paylocity or ADP. This is a plus for our organization because of our size. BambooHR continusly looks for ways to add to their system and offerings. Our team looks forward to growing alongside them! I cannot recommend BambooHR enough!!!
BambooHR does not assign an account representative to clients. The only point of contact is the customer service line. This can be frustrating when trying to collect data on their security measures. We are a financial institution and go through regular audits. Since BambooHR is a smaller HRIS system, there are less capabilities to connect with benefit admin systems that can be accessed through benefit brokers. I expect this to change as the system continues to grow. I hope to see Bamboo offer ACA reporting in the future. They currently refer customers to a third-party for an additional fee. BambooHR can be used to track training completion, but it can be frustrating to use. I hope to see this feature improve in the future.
Our organization is in growth mode, and we have hired 80 people in the last four years (including interns). The recruiting model has been extremely helpful in tracking our candidates and creating open conversations between hiring leads and HR. We will be switching to BambooHR payroll next year in hopes we will save time by accessing all the data we need in one system, particularly for total compensation statements. Performance management has created more opportunities for supervisors to gather feedback from peers on their direct reports. This data is confidential and essential to helping our managers coach and guide their people to success.
Comprehensive employee profiles and reporting.
Time clock (referred to as time tracking) needs to be fleshed out more and act like a time clock program, many more features and controls needed.
Tracking employee cycles, vacation, salaries.
Bamboo has streamlined payroll for our organization and made the process so much easier! Our employees like it for it's ease and elimination of paper timesheets. They can access Bamboo on their phone or via the web. As the person processing payroll, I no longer have to remind people to turn in their timesheets nor correct mistakes on paper timesheets. It has been a game changer for all of us!
There have been glitches in the app after some updates. In and out times sometimes cannot be entered. This is usually corrected by deleting the app and reinstalling it, but having to do this after every few updates gets a little frustrating.
Bamboo has simplified time tracking for our employees and made payroll processing a breeze for me. Our organization also uses Bamboo in the hiring process. We can keep track of candidates and onboarding a new employee is easy and consistent. We have just begun using the performance managamement piece and so far we are fidning it to be easy and productive. We have also found Bamboo helpful when an employee leaves the organization.
