I have been a user of Audacity for long since my main focus isn't the audio but I needed to work on it from time to time, but in short, Audition is a lot like Audacity but with a lot of advanced audio edition features that I hardly ever use and with a really big extra, the easiness of editing and sending to after effects or premiere pro without needing to save the file and exporting, that saves a lot of time and avoids an understandable loss of focus for the task switching.
It isn't really needed a lot anymore but MIDI isn't supported. I know it isn't its main focus but supporting an extra audio format that hardly increases the size or complexity of the program should be a no brainer
Editing audio for tasks more complicated than increasing or decreasing the volume when working with premier pro or after effects
The integration with premier pro or after-effects makes this my tool of choice. I'm not a sound creator so things like vega would offer me the same functionality with the slight penalty of importing and exporting the sound. Normalizing the sound and that way removing spikes of high noise or upping the volume in areas that sound too quiet is something that takes less than a minute when you get to know the shortcuts. Contrary to other Adobe suite programs this is not a resource intensive program so if for any reason I need to correct something on the go I can do it from almost every machine I own without fearing I may ran out of memory.
Sometimes when opening a Premiere Pro file containing Motion Graphic Templates can cause playback issues, it's usually not an issue but when it happens it's just better to try to use another program like audacity, saves the headache of trying to fix this as far as I'm aware there is no workaround.
Editing audio and sound levels to make sure that the videos I produce are a delight to watch.
I really like how Adobe Audition offers a variety of ways for the user to produce the audio needed for a given project. For instance, the user can go in and make edits to a single clip via the waveform editor, or they can adjust the timing, and effects of multiple tracks via the multitrack editor. As with most Adobe products, the real strong suit is the compatibility that Audition has with other applications within the creative suite. I will routinely edit an audio track in Audition, and then import it into either Premier Pro or After Effects. Being able to move freely between the applications without need for conversions has been a real timesaver when it comes to completing projects. I've also resurrected projects thought to be "dead" because of poorly captured audio. The Noise Reduction (process) effect is something that all audio techs should become familiar with, because it can safe you a lot of reshoots and/or worry.
Sometimes I get confused working within Audition, as the navigation is slightly different than the video editing and compositing programs like Premier Pro and After Effects. Sometimes I will unknowingly be importing a file into the wrong project. It's not a huge drawback, you just need to be aware of what you're doing when you're working within audition.
Cleaning up audio recordings, reworking timing of audio elements, and converting music to the right format.
Audition is packed with features which scale with the experience of the user. If you're a novice, Audition works great as a simple editor with easy cut-and-paste functionality. For intermediates and experts, no audio editing software has more depth in terms of tools at your disposal. As someone who edits multi-track audio for podcasts and creates audio for presentations, Audition has made my jobs easier and more efficient.
The only issue I have with the way Adobe pushes out updates is that every new version of Audition - assigned by year 2018, 2019, 2020, etc. - is pushed as an entirely new program, as opposed to just an update to the existing install. As a result, I've ended up with multiple installs of what is essentially the same program which does encroach on hard drive space. I'm sure there's a reason it's done that way, but I don't understand it.
I use Audition to edit multi-track audio for a podcast series I produce. I started in 2014 using Audacity, a free-to-use, open source product, that was functional, but not easy to use. I upgraded to Audition starting in 2016 and, immediately, my editing time was cut in half and the quality of the output product increased dramatically. I started editing audio for presentations in 2017 and the ability to use Audition as a DAW, record directly into the software, and edit on the fly has been invaluable.
Very easy to use, I start using it years ago to reduce noise for my videos. Also able to tune the audio to small room, big hall, enhance voice, etc.
The audio recording workflow isn't as good. I would prefer not to use Logic or ProTools for simple voice over recording, so I use Audition most of the time, but it just doesn't work as good.
I can quickly go from Premiere to Audition and do quick fix on the audio, and automatically replace the audio in Premiere when I'm done fixing the audio, it's all about efficient
This software provides education as a subject to the students in our institute and all the music editing and recording are done by this software. The tools in this software and sound effects Delay, reverb, tempo and time management such sound parameters can be edited over a wide range of applications. Advanced multi-band graphic equation can also be used to filter background or unwanted sound. In fact, a large number of students at our institute have released their great creations using this software. Adobe Audition is also very well supported with the sound card we use.
The previous version had minor issues and with the new version, we were able to fix those issues.
Adobe products serve the students in our organization and this software provides a great service. Students are very interested in this editing and recording section and currently, adobe audition is used by more than 3000 students. This software is designed to suit the needs of students as well as music teachers and makes it very easy for me to give lectures in this regard.
The Adobe family software are the best tools for creativity purposes and help a lot for the production process. Adobe Audition is one of them because it helps you to edit your audio clips, as for audio production purposes as for creativity flow for your project in addition with other software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, or Adobe After Effects.
I don't like a lot the introduction of some useful functions such as the combination of Vst, DAW functions and tools to create music from zero.
In my work as graphic designer and musician Adobe Audition helped and helps me a lot because with the software I can modify my audio clips and delete for example the background noise from them. Another tool that I use is the clipper to edit the track and save that in a second moment exporting to mp3 or wav format that preserves the quality of the recording.
The GUI is laid out very well. Alot of thought went into the tools and features of this product.
In 10 years of using this product I haven't found any dislikes
The benefits are endless. I have done everything from saving the last voicemail of a deceased person to editing a fully produced album.
Having several layers of tracks on a single platform is so rewarding. The stereo editor tools are excellent, but also the fade in and out tools are rewarding. The reverb feature and effects within which help in producing heavy and light sound is so interesting.
It is complicated to learn, but even after learning, you could easily lose your sound if you are are a beginning user. It is quite expensive, heavy to install but also has a low responsive rate when it come to moving the pointing icon. It once turned off amidst my quick work that was needed so fast
We have stepped up our audio quality. We combine increase and reduce sound volumes and quality and improve the sound clarity as it is intended. Most of our audio tutorial we upload online are edited using Adobe Audition. We produce our safety audio warning here, and in a way we are saving our workers from danger.
Adobe Audition is such a very awesome software because of its incredible features for audio editing for example the Equalizers, pitch correction, reverb, and many more others. Another breathtaking feature that makes Audition very useful and time saving is the multitrack. One is able to combine a number of audios and also be able to mix them down into one. Audition can greatly support a variety of audio formats but also convert them to the best types.
Though very important an application Adobe Audition is, new users may find it hard to cope up with it because it doesn’t offer any feature to help users. The interface is also not that very attractive to convince a user that they are using the best audio editing software. One other not so big problem is that some of Audition’s features are not so easy to use and may be confusing for some people.
It is very simple for me but also enjoyable to edit a great deal of audio elements with my Adobe Audition Software. I recently managed to edit and mix up vocals of a young singer with an instrumental using Audition and the outcome was no different from a song produced by music recording software like Logic Pro and Fruity Loops. Apart from all that, i can easily record our daily newscast for the company just using Audition and edit it there and then
The software has helped me to edit my voice clips by cutting and merging them which helps me to get a smooth show. The software has the ability to operate on more than one truck setup which makes the helps me to add sound effects in my show piece. The application has also helped to play around with various materials on the multi track which gives you options on what is better the particular show in terms of sound effects and the rest. The softwa
Well, the application is so great, however there's only one challenge i have face in the long is its incapability to change dv files to audio formats.
Normally I use the software when I am editing my audios to make them clear and cuttinout unnecessary information from my recordings. I also use the application to add sound effects in my recorded programs. Also this application has helped me to record directly without first get raw material from an external environment.
I love audition! It is very easy to use! I have been using Audition for about two years and I know the application very well. I like how easy it is to drag in Mp3 flies and edit them. I can edit Mp3 files together easily. I can also easily increase and decrease the volumes of our voices and it still sounds very clear. The editing tools are really easy to use.
Audition has crashed a couple of times. That has been difficult because I rely on it heavily to do my work. the radio station I work or has had to call IT specialist for help on a view occasions. Switching over from Audition 2018 to Audition 2019 was also difficult.
I have never used an audio editing software like Audition. It helps me easily teach others how to edit audio files. I would not be able to air my radio show without Audition.
User friendly and efficient. Constantly learning tips and tricks.
Can have minor bugs and may require a a good enough system to run the application.
Quicker turnarounds and more satisfied clients.
Audition makes it easy to edit multiple tracks at once.
Sometimes when I try to record, the app rerecords over something I wanted to keep.
Audacity allowed me to edit my podcast and put multiple layers of audio into one track.
I love how integrated it is with creativecloud (duh) lol! It's a great tool for video editing and those interested in podcasting.
Nothing, I truly like this program and see myself coming back to it at all times.
Has helped me change the quality of bad audio for the better!
I love how easy it is to use and how you can create full packages on this whether it's radio/podcasting or adding voice overs on videos.
There's nothing i dislike about this software, however it would be totally amazing if they had a side software where they can create their own beats, though you kind of can if you edit hard enough!
It's a versatile software, regardless of whether you are editing a news report, radio content or a podcast, this software has never let me down. i'm currently using it to edit my podcast.
This program is easy to learn and the short cuts make editing easier.
I would love for there to be a way to go back to previous versions of a session.
I can easily edit music for my dance and theatre classes and save sessions for future edits.
Audition is very versatile and allows for many functionalities. You can take an audio and immediately make it sound better. I enjoy the simplified options as well the detailed changes you can make.
It is a little difficult to manage all of the different features and I feel as if everything is crammed together. I would like a better interface that is more accessible.
I am fixing bad audio and getting rid of noise and hum for podcast audios
The fact that using stock effects can make a track sound professional.
I dislike the fact that there’s poor choice for certain plugins. I think it should be improved in different presets
Different mixing session got done via Audition. I benefit in learning more about sound engineering everyday
Audition is a recognized Adobe software for audio editing. With this, it is quite easy and efficient to remove sounds you do not want from an audio, mix, add music, amplify and reduce the sound of the project you are working on. It is really an efficient and easy to use program when it comes to sound editing.
As a suggestion, it would be really good to improve the audio quality and add some add-ons to edit different audio tracks separately.
In our company, having this program has allowed us to change the format of different audios that are available for the communication and information process and have the security of having at hand a program that will facilitate auditory tasks that benefit and contribute to the company improvement.
