"Makes Training Simple"
What do you like best about Trainual?

The user interface and ease of use. In between hires you can scale your account down since you're not using it. It enables you to keep all your data while paying a fraction of the cost.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

I feel like the price for the base plan is a little steep. It would be nice to see a cheaper plan added that accommodates smaller teams. Right now the base plan is good for 25 users. A 10 user plan that costs $50/month would be perfect for a start-up like us.

What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?

We tested Trainual out because we needed a great way to train new people. The system is easy to use and has the features we were looking for. We are not currently hiring new team members so we're not using Trainual at the moment. When we start growing our team again, we'll be using this great tool often!

"Trainual is essential for a smooth-running company"
What do you like best about Trainual?

I liked the flow-chart feel of making subjects.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

It feels awkward sometimes that it goes to a new page everytime you click next. If it had more of a slideshow transition feel it'd feel smoother.

What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?

Not many problems really. Benefits like being able to assign users to be in charge and able to manage certain subjects is nice.

"Trainual is the Software that Business Managers Don't Know They Need (Yet)!"
What do you like best about Trainual?

I have been on the lookout for software like Trainual for several years, a repository where I can document our SMB processes and procedures in a way that doesn't involve me printing/re-printing employee manuals. What I like best about Trainual is its feature-rich simplicity, it provides me with the structure to develop documentation at scale, whilst also enabling me to integrate rich content, keeping our employees engaged throughout the learning process. Side note: I also love that they now have an iOS app.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

There are a few UX aspects of Trainual that I dislike (from the content creation perspective), but I view these as being symptomatic of an early-stage SaaS finding its feet. Some of these include: 1. Uploading an image or GIF can often take an unusually long time 2. When moving at pace (creating/editing content) I can occasionally move onto to the next section before Trainual has a chance to save (this has resulted in me losing some content on one occasion - a warning dialogue indicating the step hasn't yet saved would easily address this) 3. The Subjects root menu has the ability to expand and drill down to Topics and Steps, but the Topics menu doesn't allow for expanding and drilling down into Steps. This can be frustrating when navigating through the platform at pace. 4. Adding a caption to an image can prove buggy, moreso editing a caption is almost impossible without re-uploading the image 5. It would be great to be able to see Users assigned to Subjects at the Subject root menu level (there's plenty of white space to facilitate this, but I could see how this could become clunky for larger organisations). 6. As an SMB with ~15 employees, the Trainual plan pricing model is not the best fit. It would be great to see Trainual offer a more scalable pricing model for <25 employees that enables SMB's to grow. This would also lower the barrier of entry for SMB's with 25 employees or more who require 3-6 months to create content and slowly onboard staff as they ramp up.

What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?

The answer to this question is multi-faceted to say the least. Firstly, Trainual has allowed me to convert existing documentation into an online platform that can be updated at any time, broadcast at scale to my team who work remotely across multiple states. Not only has it allowed me to deliver this documentation at scale, but it provides me with a logical means in which to structure the delivery of this documentation (Subject > Topic > Step). Secondly, having Trainual available has allowed me to reduce the time I spend performing erroneous tasks my staff could be completing instead. This has allowed me to focus on aspects of the business that truly matter, rather than continuing to complete the erroneous tasks. Historically, I have avoided training for these tasks because the training time takes 10-100x the time it takes me to actually complete the task, but with Trainual, the time taken to train has been drastically reduced, making it easier to train than to continue performing the tasks. This would have been far less practical to achieve prior to adopting Trainual. Thirdly, my staff feel far more confident and relaxed in knowing that they always have an accessible stack of documentation that validates their processes and decision making. Finally, the time taken to onboard and train new employees has been reduced MASSIVELY since introducing Trainual. We are able to properly devote more time training new employees on practical aspects of their role, whilst providing them with documentation that supplements this training and simultaneously defining company culture.

"Easy use and gets the job done."
What do you like best about Trainual?

Simple interface that is relatively intuitive to use right away. Easy to add users and to track their progress. The ability to add quizzes to training materials increases engagement. The iOS app works very well, however it lacks an Android version at this time. The basic price is reasonable considering the volume of unique users it supports. The ability to assign Subjects to Company Roles is very helpful.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

Not overly robust, but it gets the job done. Trainual has very basic design and layout options which make it look and feel dated, both on the front and backend. We are still working through our workflow to best suit our needs. We are still assessing how to best deliver the materials we want within the limitations of "subject & topic". The option for Drip Courses and such would be nice.

What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are looking to online all our training and educational needs. The challenge is finding an affordable LMS that can grow with us. Our biggest fear, investing time building materials within a system that we later outgrow. Ideally we would use Wisetail, but the initial setup and pricing is structured for mid-large size business.

"Easy to use and an excellent value"
What do you like best about Trainual?

I am not the most tech savvy person but I found adding training content and users to be pretty intuitive on the platform and the value for the money is good. I also like the tutorials and tips that are given.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

Nothing really, I am still determining if it will meet all of our needs going forward.

What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were using a higher cost LMS system and did not find it user friendly. We are hoping to get more people involved in using Trainual.

"Intuitive Learning Management System"
What do you like best about Trainual?

I have been using Trainual for almost two years and have enjoyed the process of implementing it in our learning program. Throughout the time I've used it, Trainual has made regular updates that have streamlined information workflow, data analysis, and overall user experience. The feedback I share on my user experience feels heard and taken into consideration. Their response time and customer service is excellent.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

In tandem with what I like best about Trainual, something that has been challenging is the frequency of updates. Often times, the updates impact the visuals of the site, making it difficult to initially find content.

What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?

Trainual has allowed us to streamline training and relaying information companywide. This opportunity has connected the company despite being in multiple locations. It has allowed for consistent communication and equitable access to materials and information.

"Just what I was looking for"
What do you like best about Trainual?

Trainual is super user friendly and very easy to navigate. It offers all the features I was looking for to get my business processes organized. You can create Processes, Training, see an org chart, define all the roles in your company, and more. They have a plethora of templates available to give you somewhere to start. And Trainual U teaches you how to use Trainual while simultaneously helping you get set up. This has really been great at showing me where the holes are in my current training and processes. Their customer service is great. I had one girl help me for two weeks at first and she took a bunch of my word doc content and added it to Trainual, showing me how to break it up into Subjects and Topics. It was a huge jump start. And now I have a dedicated customer service rep who is always quick to answer if I have a question.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

I honestly haven't found anything yet which I have found to be a problem. I am sure I might stumble across a limitation or two eventually, but not yet.

What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?

My processes are all over the place or just don't exist in writing at all. I don't have consistent training and none that is really available to return to when a refresher is needed. Trainual is helping me get organized, create missing content and organize training and make it available to the right people. I love that it also offers quizzes because sometimes people say they get it, but I'm not 100% sure that is true. Quizzes test their learning and tell me whether they really do or not. Trainual is also very fairly priced and I feel for what you pay, the amount you get is well worth it.

"Finally an effective way to train employees!"
What do you like best about Trainual?

Trainual is by far the most effective way for employees to learn skills, policies, and the ins- and- outs of the company without wanting to pull their hair out. Practice makes perfect, right? Well, Trainual allows you to obtain the practice that you need to achieve great results in whatever line of work that you do. It's easy to follow, effective in training, and a great way for employees to refer back in case there's something that they're feeling a little iffy with. All in all, I would recommend Trainual to ANYONE looking to train their employees with success.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

The ONLY downside of trainual is that there wasn't anywhere for me to type side notes or comments. Besides that, perfect!

What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am solving every day problems at work. Sometimes it's quite difficult to remember the price for each service or policy for each service pertaining to my work. It's so nice to have something to be able to refer back to. It's like a survivor's handbook for employees (new and old). Trainual has benefitted me greatly as well in the fact that if a fellow employee has a question, I can send them a link to a certain page of a trainual and it will answer all of their questions laid out in beautiful black and white for them.
