What I like best about Share a Sale is that it is beginner friendly. You can promote a lot on there rather than on some other sites I've come across. Unless you have tons of experience. But if you don't and you're looking to start promoting something. Share A Sale I would say is the place to start.
Sometimes I tend to dislike what is available. It has a vast amount of products just sometimes isn't what I'm looking to promote in particular. Also, sometimes payment can be on the lower end.
The business problems I am solving by using Share A Sale is the fact that I don't have to search all around the internet for a company that I can promote for. This site has thousands of companies looking for marketers instead to promote their products instead.
ShareASale IS A GOOD AND A LARGE NETWORK WITH A WIDE RANGE OF PRODUCTS TO MARKET.
LOTS OF VENDORS IN THE NETWORK ARE INACTIVE FOR A QUITE LONG PERIOD. SOME OF THE GIFT VOUCHERS ARE NOT WORKING. SHOULD IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THE SERVICE.
IT PROVIDES PRODUCTS FOR MY AFFILIATE MARKETING. IT BRIDGES ME WITH THE PRODUCTS' VENDORS.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I HAVE LOST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON FRAUDULENT ORDERS. CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT ANSWER THE PHONE, NOR DO THEY RETURN CALLS.
We have used Shareasale for years without incident. For several months we have lost thousands of dollars on fraudulent orders. We traced them all to Shareasale affiliates. We tried to contact Shareasale immediately for help. I left messages, and no one has returned a call. I guess Shareasale no longer vets their affiliates because scam affiliates are now robbing the merchants. I consider this site extremely dangerous now. My recommendation is to run away from this company as fast as you can.
They are not helping at all. They are creating a nightmare that has cost us thousands.
Love how they charge for everything - including even a basic training manual on how to use the interface.
1. Full of coupon scam sites who do no work, except to use your brand name in order to intercept branded search traffic. 2. Possibly 1% legitimate sites with some traffic. The 99% are there just to waste costly time in monitoring their scam activities. 3. Terribly expensive with upsells for merchants around every corner. Giving performance marketing a very bad reputation, that is for sure. Struggling to get a refund from Shareasale - it is just money down the drain. The Shareasale CEO should really consider ways to give legitimate value to new merchants.
Nothing at all - quite disappointing.
I love how all the merchants provide display ads we can use on our site. I also appreciate the general quality of this platform, unlike others.
The only annoying thing about this platform - and others - is the minimum balance for transfers. This hasn't been an issue for us yet, but how frustrating would it be to make a sale, yet never realize your commission because you didn't hit the $50 minimum to transfer to your bank.
We are earning commission with merchants we love. We have found a way to monetize our blog without using those annoying Google ads via Adwords!
Shareasale is great in that it has lots of brands, and they pay ontim every month
The dashboard looks a bit 90s / outdated. It could do for a modern update.
Great tool for promoting brands and earning affiliate commissions. I've used it for years and earned thosands.

Share a Sale is not as user friendly as I would like. You have to search around to get links and performance.
I have really enjoyed the wide array of offers available on Share a Sale. I have worked at a wide variety of affiliates and every affiliate always has needs met through SAS
I love how easy ShareASale is to use, from setting up to getting connected with potential merchants and customize how you choose to display products or ads. You can also select what type of merchant you want to be associated with which would fit your personal site or blog the best. The platform is also very easy to use when communicating with merchants as well as seeing your performance.
The only downfall about the platform is the dashboard is a bit outdated and wish it was more tablet friendly. I am always on the go and don't always have a laptop handy so an app version for the platform would be better.
I have increased my number of readers and subscribers but also feel empowered when using ShareASale to really build my own personal brand. The platform also allows me to become a sort of blogger entrepreneur to reinvest in myself and blog.
It's really easy to launch an affiliate program with SAS because there are no contracts, so a brand can test the waters. Most larger affiliates are on this platform as well.
The reporting tools are limited to really in diving deep into the customer journey and extracting insights. There are also limitations on setting up different attribution models - everything is based on last click and rev.share.

It's fairly easy to join the program as a newbie who have zero to very limited experience working with affiliate programs. However, a little over basic setup will require to read ShareASale blog and research what to right in program rules.
Their database is full of coupon sites that have nothing in common to do with bringing actual traffic to your store. We learned hard way that coupon sites, if you want to work with them at all, have to be limited to minimum percentage.
We are getting access to more websites that promote our products using ShareASale links. I wish there were more quality blogging websites there rather than coupon websites.
ShareASale's UX is very intuitive for the most part and easy to navigate vs. some other affiliate networks I've used in the past.
The user experience with questions is challenging. If you have a question about the platform or on-boarding you're often directed to a video tutorial rather than a real person to ask questions to. Due to bandwidth, that was extremely challenging and time consuming to have to take the time to watch through full videos to see where my question might be answered (if at all).
It brings together the main affiliates we'd like to work with and takes the manual work out of tracking and payment.
I like the transaction reporting and being able to customize the commission amounts.
Bulk approval process. You either approve all at the same commission or you have to edit one at a time. Seems to take a while this way...

The upside to ShareASale (SAS, from this point forward) is that the network of affilaites and merchants is already very established- which is great. The benefits inherited from this vast network are great, yes- but I do feel there could be some polishing to the portal.
The portal interface is so outdated. The ability to retain reporting is very arbitrary, and there isn't a great way to consider different data sets. Not to mention, when checking through transactions- you should be able to filter out the ones you've already voided. Only leaving those awaiting their lock date/approval.
They aren't really problems, I suppose. I guess they are moreso limitations of the portal. I wish there was a way to sort through data better, filter and search in various ways.
