"A vast improvement--perfect for our young, growing tech company"
What do you like best about Lever?

I love its seamless integration with the tools we most use--Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, Abacus, and Docusign. It has made our entire hiring process more seamless as a result. For applicants, it provides a more professional, personalized (if templated!) experience than what our young company had previously afforded. For our People Operations department (of one) it has vastly improved our organization of resumes. Previously, I received from multiple sources (hand-delivered resumes, forwarded emails of resumes, dozens of job boards) often receiving resumes from people who were not directly involved with the hiring process. Lever has helped keep the channels of communication open between varying levels of involvement, equipping team members to track at the distance that makes the most sense for them. Furthermore, it has renewed energy throughout the company regarding our democratic hiring process. It is helpful that all team members can refer candidates more easily to the wider team, and that they can see all of their feedback forms/interviews in once place. The Slack reminders regarding feedback prove helpful since so much of our work is carried out via Slack. I also very much enjoyed the implementation process with Phil. He made clear that there is no dumb question. He was consistently friendly, and empathetic when there were obstacles in the implementation. He had a great way of turning the tool over to me, allowing me to show him on our calls how I navigated it, and how I'd train others in it. The learning-by-doing instead of simply learning-by-being-shown was crucial to my understanding of the tool.

What do you dislike about Lever?

I look forward to the tool having more options in terms of auto-text/mail-merge. For example, it would be great if email templates had some options for dates and times. I also wish that it were possible to add multiple locations to a particular posting. I created a location called "Multiple Locations," but it'd be nice to have more specific cities listed. Perhaps I'm missing something though and this is an option. I'm still very young in my use of this tool. Also, the cost was nearly prohibitive for our small company. I was glad that the team worked with us on this. I trust that if we can expand its use across departments (instead of the initially approved Client Success team), the company will see its full value. Right now it's a bit costly for our 1-person People Ops 'team' in its primary focus on Client Success hires. I think to get full use out of this platform, we would need a full-time recruiter--possibly using the Teamable and LinkedIn Recruiter integrations that Lever affords.

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are a fairly young tech company that has seen a lot of growth. Our Client Success team, in particular, has doubled over the last year and a half. Often, we do not know the exact demands of this team, and so the hiring manager may ask for a one to two week hiring cycle (from initial contact, to phone interview, to office interview, to reference check, to offer). I had been tracking things manually (email templates, forms for feedback, calendar invites for interviews, spreadsheets for the hiring queue phases). Lever took our process and automated it--helping me to better leverage my time in getting more candidates through the process and more quickly.

What do you dislike about Lever?

The onboarding experience could be a lot better with more interactive/training videos. The reporting does have some grey areas which could be improved. Customer support could be better

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

Alright, let's be honest here. We all know how the pandemic has kicked back the economy and has forced us to work from home. Regardless of these social and economic barriers, our company is doing a great job embracing them and moving forward towards growth. Our company is growing by the day and with that, it has brought a lot of opportunities to the table. I never would have thought it would be so easy for us to hire in this virtual world we live in today. With the company gone totally cloud-based, Lever has changed the game for HR associates! With the help of Lever, in these past two years, our company has grown a lot. Lever has helped us with complex requirements that were all easily resolved. With the ease of scheduling interviews, comparing potential candidate profiles, data visualization reporting, Lever has changed the game! The platform helps me almost every day to screen applicants who are potential candidates One can post recruitment externally/internally Users are able to provide meaningful feedback to candidates you and your team interviewed Opportunity for leaders to assess through the of the feedbacks of the team members Rate a candidate on various different aspects Love how one can integrate the software to their product

"Exceeded my expectations"
What do you like best about Lever?

Wow! First I want to admit that I've implemented "the other leading ATS" (rhymes with SpleenMouse) at two other companies. On the recommendation of my HR network, I decided to give Lever a shot. The product and overall experience has exceeded my expectations. The implementation process was a breeze. I have been so impressed with everyone I've met from Lever (sales, implementation consultant) because they really "get" recruiting and startup challenges! While Lever isn't necessarily as "robust" as SpleenMouse, but its simplicity has actually been a HUGE value add for adoption in my organization. I LOVE the candidate centric vs job centric workflow. It makes the tool feel more like a CRM than an ATS and better reflects the way my team recruits with passive and active candidates in the mix. The UI is beautiful and I received a ton of compliments from the team...including from our design group. The custom feedback forms are great and scheduling is pretty intuitive and functional. My CEO and I find the candidate pipeline dashboard very useful. Instead of running cumbersome static reports, it gives us all the info we need in real time. And last, but certainly not least, the price is right. You get a lot of bang for your buck with Lever.

What do you dislike about Lever?

There really isn't much to dislike! The only minor issue I've had has been with rescheduling interviews. My company uses Outlook and the integration isn't quite as elegant as with Gmail. (I think that it's actually an Outlook issue...) My implementation consultant helped me out there and now I know the proper way to reschedule.

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main problem we solved was having a "single source of truth" for all things recruiting. Our company was operating off of spreadsheets and emails. Since implementing Lever, recruiting velocity has skyrocketed and candidates aren't falling through the cracks anymore. Collecting documented feedback has been HUGE for driving decision-making. The other big problem Lever helped solve was providing executives visibility into the health of our pipeline.

"Lever has been every bit of the massive lift we needed it to be!"
What do you like best about Lever?

The ease of use. The interface is clean, well organized, easy to use. With Integration to LinkedIn Recruiter, having all communication with candidates in one place visible to all who need it is probably one of the most essential features. Beyond that, the ease of scheduling interviews at multiple stages in the candidate life cycle has been an incredible time saver for us in the recruiting function, as well as the managers and interviews involved. The built-in Nuture capabilies are also an absolute game changer.

What do you dislike about Lever?

I don't believe there is a way to set up a panel interview / set multiple interviewers up for one collective interview. That feels like one of the more significant gaps so far. That would be a great addition.

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

The time and efficiency benefits are the largest we are feeling three weeks into being live. We were running so many different manual processes using different methods of communication that could not sync with one another - creating a lot of manual steps to collect feedback/communicate about candidate feedback, etc.

"Neat Interface"
What do you like best about Lever?

The ATS is neat and clean. In the sense, the UI UX part seems to be taken care of. Lever has neat looking pipelines, ease of use & intuitive interface.

What do you dislike about Lever?

I think Lever has a set process and they want most to follow the process as set by Lever. Any changes/customization should be done by their support team for which we need to submit a request through the portal (less freedom). Also, the pricing is crazy. Lever does not have anything WoW, unique or first of it's kind feature to command such a heavy price. In fact, there are many other ATS which offer even more features for much lesser price Their starting price is north of US$ 3700 and runs to tens and thousands of dollars. I think Lever has managed to build a positive brand image and thus commands such a huge price tag. And did i mention that though you can add any number of users, everyone should be from the same org (email domain). If you want to invite anyone from a different domain then that domain should be registered with Lever which again costs roughly $500 extra (for each such domains)

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

As outlined, the UI UX seems to be pretty good.

"Great for SMB Companies with easy use for Recruiters, Hiring Managers and Candidates! "
What do you like best about Lever?

• Straight-forward, easy to learn and understand UI for any level of experience • Covers most needs in recruiting, scheduling, interview evaluation, and reporting • Integrations to help automate assessments, background checks, LinkedIn integration, electronic signature and transferring to your HRIS for onboarding • For more money, you can upgrade to Pro or Enterprise and get more data intelligence (or Data API) features as well as more complex requisition management. As well as more integrations.

What do you dislike about Lever?

• As we go into hyper-growth and borderline enterprise-level questions, Lever becomes more manual and harder to maintain a large volume of requisitions, offers, and users • Integrations are limited and more advanced integrations cost you (the user) money and one of the few ATS' that charges third-party tools to use their Data API • Went through an acquisition and their data migration between two Levers would be simplistic (thinking both of us being on the same platform would make it easy) but unfortunately, there's quite a bit of manual work if we don't want to shut down hiring on one side of the business for 2-4 weeks. • For best-in-class that is more configurable for our needs, went externally to find a CRM, programmatic marketing/advertising and scheduling tool that gave us advanced features

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

• Managing our entire requisition headcount approval and management through Lever • Managing all offer generation through dynamic automated fields • Data analysis, recruiter capacity, cost-per-hire, headcount planning, recruiter KPI/metrics and hiring dashboards (a lot of this requires some external analysis and tools that Lever can't provide or data that lives outside of Lever)

"Best ATS!"
What do you like best about Lever?

Lever is phenomenal! As an experienced Recruiter, I've used Lever, Greenhouse, and JazzHR, and Lever is by far my favorite! Lever can be implemented quickly and easily, and is a great price for the value. It's a very intuitive system and easy to use, thus ensuring 100% adoptability amongst employees and interviewers. The scheduling within Lever is easy, Feedback forms are straight forward, and the UI is sleek!

What do you dislike about Lever?

The only downside to Lever is the same downside to all of the other ATSs on the market- to get meaningful reporting, all of your jobs need to fit in to the same stages.

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are now able to have a centralized place for candidate resumes, interview process tracking, and interview feedback

"Lever is great!"
What do you like best about Lever?

We wanted something that could be implemented quickly and easily, it was also important that the cost made sense for the value of our rapidly growing team. We needed a platform to help us connect all of our job boards and postings for a unified candidate experience. Lever has provided all of this! The platform is intuitive and the Customer Support team is always ready and willing to help make the platform the most efficient for our team's use. This has been a great tool for our team and even better for our hiring managers who are loving the new system.

What do you dislike about Lever?

The platform is great for startups. I don't have any 'cons' for Lever. They really take their customer feedback and actively develop the platform.

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

Unifying all applicants and ensure that no one is left unanswered!
