Glide is an amazingly easy-to-use no-code app builder. It is amazing how you can build an app off of a Google Sheet and then automate it outside of Glide with IFTTT. I highly suggest anyone use Glide to get their initial MVP build to test their product.
It is great to get an initial MVP out the door, but when you want to expand or grow your app, it can be tough to add a ton of custom functionality.
I wanted to build an MVP mobile app off of a Google Sheet. It was really easy to use and I built a functioning app in less than a day.
As someone who likes to press buttons, I learned to Glide quickly with their well-documented and easy-to-use behind-the-scenes functionality. To quickly move from an idea to a beta (and even a useable tool), I'm able to increase my efficiency and I delight in the making, too! Glide allows me to test an idea, whether from myself or a co-worker, and see if the concept, process, or next steps are doable. I love looking through the community templates from others and also making my own to share. Glide regularly adds features and connections to other tools, allowing magic to happen! Its fun to tell people I can make an app... but then I realize they are going to want me to make them something, too 😅.
Glide is regularly adding new features and integrations to increase its usefulness and effectiveness which does cause (sometimes) a bit of a learning curve for those who, like myself, aren't in it daily. However, the community forum and their live streams are a huge help when new features are released!
Glide helps me work as a middle man between different teams in my organization and between a variety of hats our staff wear. The leap from a spreadsheet to informed data or functional applications has become smaller and allows me / us to assess processes and find insights more quickly. Before Glide I didn't have a simple (nor elegant) solution to allow multiple people to edit a spreadsheet. Now I can send them a link and they think it is a robust website but still lives in our shared drive!
The way it was developed, its structure and all the explanations presented through Glide University, make Glide a very valuable application. The final result of the work is incredible, in addition to immediately winning over my superiors. I developed an application to consult the company's results and it was very successful among my superiors. Excellent Application!
It's a little complex at first, but with the explanations of the professionals and with practice, it becomes much easier to use. All are to be congratulated on the development of the application. Thank you very much!
It needs an easily accessible tool for superiors to consult the company's results without having to access the company's platform. Incredibly, Glide met this need in a practical and fast way.
Glides intuitive interface allows technical people to thrive and non-technical people to actually develop their own app. For other "no-code" tools you end up needing some coding background to use the no-code functionality. Glide truly takes data you already have and makes it your database. All without using scary jargon or needing input from the user. Their template library covers many areas that allow it to be plug in play for a lot of novice users.
As an advanced user, I'm finding that since the last update, which changed a lot, the documentation and tutorials are out of date. Some still apply but others don't. It seems that some features were removed from the previous version. These are supposed to be added back over time.
While I have a minor coding background, I definitely don't have to ability to create and launch apps. Glide has allowed me to do this. I tried 4 other no code tools before this and couldn't get them to work in the way I needed them. Glide however worked like a charm straight from the beginning.
GlideApps makes it incredibly easy to build, test and deploy web-based applications across all devices to your full userbase. Not only is it able to help users with no coding experience to build full-scale apps, but it also allows multipurpose app usage as well: 1) You can build not taking apps 2) You can build inventory management apps 3) You can build team productivity apps And 100s of more while having the ability to integrate different kinds of services like location tracking, OPEN AI's GPT Bot, and even Google Cloud's text-to-speech feature!
Currently, there is absolutely nothing to dislike about GlideApps. The only speed bump I see that could be a potential problem is the increase in pricing. GlideApps is at the perfect price point for any user and their specific purpose. Though they are within the top 5 most expensive no-code builders out there, GlideApps's features, functionality and UI put's the others to dust, including AppSheet. You may feel a pinch paying for GlideApps at first, yet once you start using it to build and deploy, there isn't a fiber of regret for a single penny paid to them.
GlideApps is helping me build a full stack ERP system for my company at the scale and features of systems like SAP and oracle but for a third of the cost with unlimited users!
The tutorials are easy to follow. The community is supportive. And the interface is easy to follow and use to build your first application. I have been using AppSheets and PowerApps for the past 6 months, and find Glide easier to use, and the UI UX is a better and cleaner feel.
Some of the tutorials do not cover all the entire process, but that can be supplemented with YouTube videos, and the user community. Plus the new AI chatbot helps a ton.
Internal aorkflow between different departments, and transforming the workplace tools so remote workers are better connected to company resources and documents. And for MVP on an initial project, this works well to get feedback from customers, without months of software development. I am still trying to understand the pricing model, but thats not a show stopper with proceeding ahead with use of GLIDE.
By far the best and most simple app development platform on any planet in the solar system.
I found that the pricing changes too often but i must say it remains affordable!
Glide has allowed me to create almost 200 mobile apps without needing to know how to code. As for the benefits, Glide can save time and money by streamlining the app development process and making it more accessible to a wider range of people.
It's main focused on creating a tool that replaces Excel or Sheets gave an excellent reason for my clients to focus on getting it implemented in their business
I think that prices do not match what it offers for accessibility and database sizes. It is expensive.
To get new clients to understand the purpose of our agency, which identifies with what Glide wants to do, which is giving Excel and Sheets a new way to work in a business.
Easy to use, you have a database on a spreadsheet, put it in Glide, done. I like the way it is so simple to set up thanks to the template. You can also push the use of the app very far integrating and replacing many of your existing tools with Glide.
As most of SAAS, at some point you have to take the Pro version and that becomes expensive at the end of the year but at least you know it works. For some uses cases like mine, the usage of tasks gets too expensive. You have to build your app around this. There is no translation feature except based on location. There is no way to make a native app.
Starting small for free, try and grow. I have built a responsive directory of partners including a map (autofocusing), listing with discounts and travel information. There are conditions according to the status of the customer. I save a lot of time and the app suits to the needs of my customers regarding features and UX.
Simplicity of use User friendly Frequent updates
It would be great to have database/server-side automation.
Glide helps me create internal tools with easy (mostly my custom CRM, invoice management etc)
Fastest way to build a prototype, test and iterate your product/software with clients, specially if you are not a expert designer. As a startup founder, it is the best way to build something, with data and put in front of a client.
Documentation is not always very helpful. Some content have very good documentation but the new features or functionalities, does not. So that is the only thing I do not like about Glide.
Building fast and reliable prototypes for B2B companies. We use it to build several types of software, like a CRM, ERP, Dashboards, Engineering applications and etc.
The content around getting started with the platform is accessible and easy to digest.
If Glide was more proactive in helping its clients build databases, that would be amazing.
It's helping me build software both for internal tools but also as standalone SaaS.
In order to attract clients and promote my work in automation and gate design, I turned my attention to your technology for creating a code-free application with Google Sheets integration. This is exactly what I was looking for! Flexibility in settings and efficiency of replacement, adding information to the application! Only Glide allows you to do this! Glad to join the team of users of your product :)
I would like more freedom in choosing fonts and preset templates. And also add the possibility of arbitrary positioning of buttons/text / pictures relative to the screen. Fix minor bugs when working with videos from YouTube.
I am a gate engineer. To work with customers, I need to show how I can help them implement their requests. The Glide app allows me to do this directly with a potential customer right on their phone! I showed the range of services I provide, a gallery of my customers' work, my YouTube channel, a price list, contact information, and other useful information. The ability to quickly replace and add information to the application is essential)
Glide is easy, beautiful and powerful. One can start small and eventually can scale up depends on business requirements.
Maybe, Glide is switching to a much broader approach now. I want the chat component to be back soon.
Glide is helping my clients to get started in the short time possible and get ahead of their business
