"Great functionality—huge flexibility for creating consistent visual branding"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

I love that it's so simple to quickly change the colour scheme of even massive vector files. It makes it very simple for me at my a company to do some minor colour swaps on stock vector images to quickly make t consistent with our company brand. It's also easy to create graphics to go along with all of my written work (blogs, white papers, etc) and visualize the large chunks of information I'm throwing at people.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

I have difficulties with rearranging my multiple artboards in my workspace, and my company graphics libraries keep disconnecting. If your computer is older, running this program can also really slow it down which can be beyond frustrating.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm making my blog posts and written content way more digestible by easily adding graphics I'm creating in Adobe Illustrator. Plus, it's simple for me to train my team to use without any advanced design skills. Every writer should get a basic understanding of Illustrator to help make their work more visually appealing, and it looks great on a resume!

"Great program for designers"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

I love how Illustrations are vector instead of raster. It opens so many possibilities for use. I also love how it's offered with the Creative cloud and is always improving without having to purchase your upgrade yearly. Also, the program is SO complex that it has endless length you can go with all the various tools.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

Although I also listed this in what I like best, I also dislike how many tool options there are. I've used this program for 6+ years and still feel like I've only scratched the surface of what you can do. I'm constantly looking up tutorial videos to help me figure out problems I encounter (due to user error of course).

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

When I first got into designing, I primarily used Photoshop for logos and whatnot. I quickly learned that that program limited the logo's reach (for things like t-shirts, banners, etc)... Illustrator has helped make my logos professional and versatile.

"Great for creating scalable graphics "
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

I opened up Illustrator out of curiously, while looking for tools to help with graphic design for marketing, promotions, etc. I was happy with the ease of use and familiar tools (I use Photoshop a lot). I like being able to open multiple “Artboards” on the workspace, so I can break a project up into smaller ones.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

I didn’t like that it seemed tricky to open up menus that were with in the menus on the toolbar.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

I was looking for a tool to create line graphics and scalable vector graphics from scratch. I want to expand my marketing and follow up material to potential customers and existing customers and team members, by using more personalized material. Illustrator let’s me do that easily and has several options for file output, to use with other applications.

"The Gold Standard for Illustration"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

I like the ability to quickly create vector art that looks professional.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

I find the pen tool to be the most difficult tool to use. Often, I find it easier to use shapes and the Pathfinder tool to build my illustrations. Also, I would like to see Illustrator and Photoshop work the same way; while many of the tools are similar, they often work differently. This makes it difficult to switch between Photoshop and Illustrator, as I do when creating publications.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

I create illustrations for marketing collateral and for technical articles I write for a professional magazine. In addition, I am an Art & Design student and create a wide range of graphics for projects. My newest venture this year is working on package design. This combines graphics design and communications design with 3D packaging for everyday products.

"Crisp and Clear"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

As I use Illustrator mostly for architecture diagram, I'm very satisfied with the graphic quality and the outcome. It looks professional and clean. Besides, it's quite easy to edit the pdfs and dwgs during the later stage.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

Nothing really. Due to there are only few functions that I used in Illustrator, I haven't encountered any frustrated moment with AI yet. That being said, Illustrator could get quite slow if you have more links and artboards open in the same document.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Delivering ideas in a crisp, professional and clean manner. The quality is very much up for presentation.

"One of the best "
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

This a a program that can really do it all. With laser printing this is our bread and butter. We are able to do everything we need on one program easily.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

Some commands can be a bit sensitive and confusing. Some hot keys don't work as great as i wished.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

We can do everything needed for laser printing in illustrator and send it right to the laser printer.

"Best Vector Design Tool"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

It's the program I use the most for everything related to design. I use it for posters, charts and infographics, simple presentations and books. It's so versatile.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

It can get bogged down fairly easily if you create a project with too many photos. Also, linking files can be cumbersome. There should be better font management and packaging up of files/fonts/images.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use it to create tons of artwork, for organization, everything. Most used tool in my arsenal.

"Effective Design Program "
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

Adobe Illustrator integrates well with other Adobe programs. You can create something using illustrator and it will be compatible for use with other Adobe programs. Illustrator is also compatible with any computer platform (Mac or Windows). Download and set up times are fast for a program with a large file. Multitasking is another benefit.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

when it comes to being a first time user, AI is a program, unlike Photoshop that will take a lot of time to learn. Another thing I dislike about Adobe Illustrator is that the program doesn't offer proper photo edition capabilities.

"Great Vector-based Design Software!"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

It is an outstanding software for professionals, what I enjoy the most that I can work with vectors so my patters will never be too small, I could even cover up a building without having my work pixelated if you know what I mean. Furthermore, it has unlimited options, you can do everything with it that you dream of.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

Well it`s pretty tough to learn how to use it, I feel like it`s a never ending procedure.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

I needed a software to create good designs, business card, logos etc for the company, and since I already knew how to use photoshop I though I would stick with Adobe because it`s navigation bar is already familiar and easier to move my designs from one software to the other when I want to edit them. Adobe has a great internal compatibility.

"Adobe Illustrator Review"
What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

Adobe Illustrator is a great product for creating illustrations, but is also useful for creating flyers, graphics, etc. I really like how you can see all the controls and that there are shortcuts too. I'm still learning the shortcuts but having all the options available is useful. The great thing about Adobe Suite is that most of the products are similar across the board and they all work the same way if they have the same features.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

The learning curve for the Adobe products is steep and Illustrator is no exception to that. There are small things I have learned by trial and error that certain tools only work when you're on a specific layer, etc. etc. It just is way more time consuming than I would prefer. In addition, it's hard to keep track of what you can or can't do in Illustrator vs. Photoshop so a personal dislike I just had yesterday was not being able to use the lasso tool in Illustrator, so I had to open it in Photoshop, create the edits and then bring it back to illustrator.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am using Adobe Illustrator for my work with Campus Crusade. For the Epic Movement Winter Conference, I created the graphics from Adobe Illustrator in which we created flyers, stickers, and social media presence. It's an extremely helpful tool and it's a helpful asset to know how to use Adobe Illustrator.

What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

When I need to quickly edit vectors and create infographics, Adobe Illustrator is my go-to tool. We utilize Adobe Libraries to integrate into Illustrator so that we can share corporate icons and color palettes across team members.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

There are some features, such as masking, that works much easier in other Adobe products (such as Photoshop).

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Adobe is the best program to create clean, graphic imagery for both print and web. The ability to edit and place vectors, as well as manage multiple artboards, makes it one of our most useful tools for creating work quickly.
