It is very practical, you can do everything from your home and you can do everything very quickly in the simplest way possible
Nothing, it's perfect, I don't have nothing to complain
My payment haha
* Freedom to choose international employee * Less administrative hassles and no need to understand international laws per country * Provide benefit packages for international employees with multiple cost options
1. I would prefer more interactive ways to make changes to portal instead of making calls to Oyster employees. 2. Need to have security of documents per customer. I received a contract for another client of yours. I am worried our information and our international employee's information may be shared with another client.
Quick hiring around the globe, enables improving TTM for feature development economically
I like that everything can be found very quickly. I can access contracts, invoices, health insurance, etc., with just a few clicks. Also asking for reimbursement is very handy.
I can't update my legal address. Thus all tax forms are outdated, and I cannot use them for legalization in a country of residence (outside the US). It would be nice if it would be fixed
Oyster stores all my invoices, contract, and health insurance. I can ask for reimbursements. It's doing this job in very user-friendly manner and I just like it
All of the admin tasks that used to require someone from HR to answer are automated with Oyster. Streamlined and transparent processes for employers and employees alike.
Nothing comes to mind. Great product and service.
Nothing comes to mind.
It has been proved that the microlearning model that Oyster uses on its courses it´s the best solution to learning specialized content easily and in-depth, the materials gave various suggestions on how to handle time, resources, and relationships within a remote environment, all of which are essentials to be successful
It would be nice to have courses on specific tools that are largely used in remote environments such as Asana, Slack, Loom, Notion, etc. A course on the importance of documentation and how to execute one of these tools would be fantastic
The major problem of global hiring is being solved by their top notch product, but Oyster not only solves a business problem but a social one by making quality jobs accessible for knowledge workers in emerging economies
One of the finest things about working with oyster is how easy it is to manage your benefits, your payslips and everything work related in one simple easy to use platform.
There are some limits to expenses you can put on the platform. It would be great if you had that limit visible, for example: You've logged 120$ out of you 150$ limit.
I've never had any issues that required Oyster's intervention. The most i've had were questions regarding the contract, which they managed to answer in timely fashion.
Ease of use, excellent customer support.
Nothing at the moment. Oyster solves all my GEP requirements.
Oyster has allowed us to scale our business
I like the simplicity and thoroughness of the platform: the website has a lot of valuable and precise information and is very easy to use. I can easily find my documents and employment contracts.
A few options could be added, depending on the country of work: for instance, the number of TOIL days (French contract) is not referenced, which can be confusing.
I can finally enjoy working from home without legal concerns and enjoy all the benefits of working with an international team without worrying about complicated bureaucracy.
They are very quickly to answer any question you have, always helpful and professional. The Oyster team is also very good following up any request
Perhaps it would be good to received a payslip automatically the first week of the month
I have all the social guarantees that I am entitled to as part of a company based in my country.
Simple to use product, very responsive support, and flawless service. I was onboarded via Oyster, and the whole experience was painless.
Honestly, nothing. There's no flaws or hiccups that come to mind.
Working for a fully remote company has its challenges. The largest obstacle at the start is the administrative workload, the paperwork and the bureaucracy required. Oyster made this a breeze.
It's quick and will solve the issue that more and more people have today. How do I work remotely for a company in a different country? Countries are not up to date with this new way of working, and Oyster will solve that for you.
I have to say that I had a very short experience with Oyster and for the time it lasted was overall good. I did have some issues where Oyster did several important mistakes on payment of expenses, wrong taxation amounts (though they realized and fixed the issue themselves), and the employer also mentioned several problems with them. It's also frustrating that when you have an issue they either completely ignore the issue and don't reply or reply late. This is very annoying.
It solved a very real problem for me where I moved countries and couldn't be hired anymore by my current employer. With startups, especially and the tech world, this is widespread. Happy that Oyster allowed me to solve this quickly.
Having someone who can support you during the whole hiring process.
Employment laws are not easy to navigate, and even with Oyster support, hiring abroad could be difficult.
We can now create small and flexible local teams without the effort of having a hub.
Love the ease of onboarding and tracking overseas contractors and staff
Haven't found any downsides yet, but potentially will run into an issue of a country of operations not be available yet.
Onboarding and managing contracts & paying invoices
Our company transitioned our international team members to OysterHR during the pandemic and we are very happy with their service. The portal is super easy for both HR and the team members to access and use. The reps we worked with were knowledgeable, helpful and aweosme! Highly recommend!
Nothing comes to mind that I would improve or change. OysterHR has been wonderful and fully met the needs of our international team members!
We were able to solve the problem of employing and paying team members who are not located in the United States. Due to COVID, team members were not able to travel to the US (Seattle) to work in person at our office, and had to stay in their home countries. OysterHR helped us keep them employed and provide them the same level of service as our other US-based team members.
I don't need to think about it anymore! I can hire talents from anywhere
I cannot use OysterHR in the country where my company is registered because their pricing structure makes it not very competitive, but hopefully, it will change soon.
For a startup like us, we can hire great talents from anywhere we don't need to compete with well-known companies in a busy market like London.
I love how Oyster gives me the local requirements associated with the country where I am hiring personnel.
The invoice process is not very user-friendly, also I don't get to make changes to invoices, I have to submit a dispute instead.
Generating a contract, keeping track of time off, making payments to contractors directly in their bank accounts overseas. This is saving me a lot of time and money.
The support team has been very good so far. The online platform is easy to use - even our Finance team likes it.
The invoicing is a bit odd in that we get an estimated bill and then the actual bill. Reconciling the two can take some time and places additional workload on our Finance team.
Hiring great talent in markets where we don't have a legal entity and keeping us compliant in those countries.
Oyster is very user friendly. Easy to navigate and understand the app.
Would love a little more detail on country specific benefits/regulations
Receiving payroll in my currency with detailed tax information
Oyster provided a regular feedback, wiht a dedicated hiring manager.
The "grey area" in between my regular function (at my global emploey) and the "mandatory" time tracking in Oyster plataform. After the process of hiring is concluded, It is not clear to me, if I have a contact person with whom to address any issue (besides the contact the made the survey inteview with me).
Alowed me to have a local portuguese contract, with a global company.
I am an employee associated with Osyter HR. It offers everything that a locally established company offers and very easy to use. The Oyster Portal is equipped with all features essential for an employee such as Payroll, Leave management, Annual review and other important components. Customer support has been very good to answer queries and provide resolutions
Oyster does not have a on-call support which at times feels missing to have speedy resolutions. Having that will help in fixing critical issues at speed
Oyster is helping my company recruit and operate in my country without having to go through the long process of approvals and country guidelines. All payroll management is done at east including the Tax filing and other crucial components. In short, Oyster replaces a whole HR team
